  • It is the rear mounted spare tire which broke the glass.

Watch other similar tests, glass in this test usually remains fine.

  • @sideslide23 I got your point, though u also have an suv like those with tires on the boot. But it is considered easier to change the punctured tire and that too, offroad vehicles need it.

  • Never buy SUV with a rear mounted spare tire.

  • just unscrew the sparewheel and put it into the trunk :)

  • Hard to believe damages were ONLY $2,096.

  • @G0Far Keep in mind the vehicle was moving at a blistering.. 5mph

  • what happend was when the tire hits the pole the tire is squishing in the trunk so its putting pressure and the window will eventuly shatter

  • And I swear that a window was there when I turned my head.

  • cheap glass lol

  • @metakight4 tempered

  • @firedemon101 i knew it was tempered but i didn't notice the tire break it until now =l

  • Yeah Landie, just throw your rear window away. A real outdoor car doesn´t need one.

  • wow i would hate to see what that does to a rav4

  • ell thats a piece of shit

  • the moral of this story is exterior spares are evil

  • carsuks 3 star crappy rating in ncap...

  • remind me not to do tht

  • The tire was a blesing 4 dis car lol

  • the wag test LOL

  • no wonder they stopped puting tires on the back

  • it wasnt the tire that broke the window, it was the brake light

  • lol ill take that as a sarcasm

  • no it wasnt. watch when they show the birds eye view again. the door bent inward and of course glass cant bend so it broke. But i do see your side aswell

  • @niallwhite rather a combination of both

  • Ha ha! Great 'reversing-retard' test. You see loads of SUVs with big dings in the back from reversing mistakes!

  • What a piece of crap. I thought SUVs are supposed to be all strong and tough...

Nope, they are for latte sipping homos.

  • omfg, have u seen what happens to most cars that do that? lol

  • Really? I hope you die from cancer.

  • I probably will nigger, but you will die from aids you big poof

  • I went into the back of a Rav4 at low speed and because of the location of the tyre I pretty much ruined the front end of my Golf and only cracked the carbon fiber tyre cover. Having said that it was £270 for a new cover from Toyota for them, and only £100 for a new crash panel, bonnet and front grill for my Golf. Bloody Toyotas! (I now drive a Toyota, but not a Rav4)

  • wow... i got hit in the rear of my discovery by some guy going 40 and didnt break my back window

  • no its cause of the tired... or els it would of hited the bumper

  • lol my aunt backed up into a tree with her rav4 and the back windo didnt even break...but everything else got fucked up

  • yeah there goes 2000 dollars down the drain for a fender bender

  • glass go smash. ha ha ha ha!

  • Having the spare tyre on the back is the worst place to have it. It always causes problems when the suv hits things, even at low speeds like this one.

  • yes, thats true, not also it can cause damage to the glass but also to the liftgate, which takes up a lot of damage because there is no rear bumper

  • But in reality there are other considerations for a 4x4 for practicalities sake, bonnet means less visibility, under the rear means less clearance, inside takes up space. back door is the most practcial place to put it really.

  • lol, the glass breaks! that car is weak.

  • Idiot! Thats because the wheel is not deformable, so it smashes into the rear.
