although i don't agree with his fiscal policies, he would have by far been the best candidate in 2004 election and the best democratic nominee in this years election
The only person with Integrity and Compassion. My intuition and intelligence, my heart and mind KNOW without a doubt, that Dennis Kucinich is the only choice.
1996 Kucinich was against Gay Marriage, now he comes out in favor -- Historically pro-life, for this election he is pro-choice -- He's also in favor of the fairness doctrine. The Fairness Doctrine Regulates Free-Speech
Actually it protects free speech by requiring every broadcaster to give equitable time and consideration to both (or more) sides of any issue. You're right about the lgbt marriage and abortion issues, but he's held these positions for over 5 years. And like my former Senator Spector, he doesn't feel his personal views on abortion should cloud a woman's right to choose. Isn't that more enlightened than some politicians?
Breaks: It is "better" but not enlightened and for a politician un-steadiness and a wavering attitude toward the Constitution by Congressional voting record, yet ever present in speeches - shows the character of the man. That being said, he is probably the 3rd or 4th best choice we have. Why elect people who will flip flop when you can get a person with a perfect constitutional based congressional voting record - vote Ron Paul '08
Break: Thanks for the dialog. Actually the "Fairness Doctrine" does not protect free-speech if you cannot speek freely without censor -- it is 100% censoring if I am "forced" through Big Gov't Regulation to "control" or "regulate" or "alter" my speech to be "fair." It is a very slippery slope indeed when regulation - control - fairness - is how you proceed.
Those who vote for more power to the Government vote increase power to unitions and Corporations and vote-down free-enterprise, private property, rule of law, and abdicate natures law (Gandhi's suggestion) of Self-Rule. Kucinich voted to nation build under Clinton. He was pro-life 90% of his career then flip-flopped a few years back. He votes to increase size and scope of Gov't, he has broken his vow to honor constitution as has all politicians other than Ron Paul.
He is the ONLY choice as far as I'm concerned, and if you don't agree yet, then you probably need to get to know him better. He's got more balls then the rest of them put together (if you take Mike Gravel out- he's awesome).
Blakkat: From 1997 to this day he has voted 289 times in the opposite direction as the Constitution -- the Document he swore to uphold. That being said he worked against the constitution less than Hillary or Obama or any other candidate the democrats have to offer. Well, except Mike Gravel. However, the one candidate who is always in favor (by his voting record) is Dr. Ron Paul -- 100% in line with Liberty. Vote Ron Paul '08
Blakkat: What principles? Ron Paul only votes the Constitution and the Constitutional Republic, which we are supposed to be, puts private property rights, rules of law, and individual liberty before all other groups. Constitutional Republic is the right of the individual over the majority as long as individual is not harming anyone.
Also, Ron Paul wants limited Fed Government and return power to the people-state-and counties. He will end Federal Reserve (which is a private entity legally counterfiting our dollar) and IRS - he will bring troops home and support healthcare with savings.
Another is his opposition of stem cell research, abortion, and gay marriage just to name a few. I don't like his views on immigration either and his religious views make me very nervous.
There is a difference between Neo-Cons - True Democrats - and True Republicans. Kucinich is a true Big Welfare (Franklin Roosevelt) Democrat. Paul is a true Small Government (Jeffersonian, Misean, Hayekia) Republican. So when you say "REPUBLICAN" I bet you are referring to the NEO-CONs who occupy seats on both sides of the isle. Let's look at what the Jeffersonian Republicans have done in the last century.
Republicans: 1) Lincoln - abolish slavery, 2) Republican Congress (not president Kennedy, though he was in favor) passed Civil Rights Laws, 3) Republicans elected to get us out of Korea, 4) Republicans got us out of Vietnam. Now has both parties commited "evil" during that time, yes...
Democrats: Entered Vietnam war, Pro-Slavery, Entered Korea, Dropped the bomb on Japan, created Welfare State (Lyndon Johnson) and destruction of lower-middle income.
Republicans: Under Nixon removed gold as the hard asset backing our currency (this was huge blow), and Under Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. created a foreign interventionist attitude which was anti-republican under Lincoln and Jefferson. Ron Paul has a perfect constitutional voting record.
I know that the Democrats are pieces of crap too, especially since so many of them act like Republicans now, it's disgusting. But ideally the Democratic party is more in line with my thinking ("party of the people", right?)
But to me Republicans personify evil, so to me, they are the greater of the two evils, but Dems are running a close second, especially as of late with Hillary & Obama and all their war talk.
blakkat: re-read what I wrote, then get back to me on what specifically you mean by "greater" evil. Bush Jr and Bush Sr. are not Jeffersonian Repuglicans, they are Neo-Cons and Hillary and Obama (and their ilk) are New-Lefts. Historically however, I think the case that Republicans have created more good than Democrats is fairly straight forward, smile. But this is not the arguement, the arguement is Ron Paul vs Kucinich, smile.
send me an e-mail and I will show you point-by-point on each vote 600 in total - only 289 are constitutionally un-sound, better than most other candidates -- Ron Paul is 100% perfect according the constitution, 100% un-compromising on this, unless an Amendent gives him the authority.
He doesn't strut around a farm trying to pose as the average Joe. The likes of Bush have grown up in such privilege and closed circles they just can't relate to the majority of people. Kucinich definitely can.
Is he a dream?, a politician who is honest, not for sale, courageous and has what it takes to stand up with backbone to the corrupt powers that have taken over our govt. . Let's get Dennis into office..he's the only SANE choice and truly wants to represent the People. Let's clean up this mess !!

But I admire him speaking against the war.
