i have 3 budgies and they're really scared of the water, or maybe the waters too hot or cold, and i try encourage them to take baths but they refuse, do you know how hot or cold the water has to be?

you're lucky both of your budgies like taking a bath. i also have two birds but only one of them like water and plus if i but them in the sink, they'll fly away since their wings are fully grown. lol

Mine pretends to hate it at first, but the second I give her her bird bath she won't get out of it...

they're soo cute.. I never thought about leaving the tap on like that!!

and yeah you can put them in the sink and stuff just make sure its super clean because if you like brush your teeth there you dont want them to eat that stuff :D

they both died of old age...but they lived for 12 years each so they passed their life expectancy. But still...:) they were my only pets but oh well...watching your budgies brings back the happy moments I had with them :D

I had to leave mine behind because theres a ban on bringing budgies in from other countries to the US, but they're in good hands now, but i miss them to death :(

I'm going to get new ones soon though. but I wont let go on kiwi & milkweed :D

aww, how do you get them in the water? my budgie will not go near it unless it's to drink. when I try to give him a bath he just climbs up my arm and hides. ;]

My budgies don't bathe like this anymore. My hands have to be like a little floor for them (like this: youtube(dot)com/watch?v=4Jc1s6­771Ko). My budgies also drink from it the water..so you can just keep bringing him/her to drink and put your hands like a little floor for him and let him drink and soon he'll be going under it :]

The yellow & Green one just looks like my girl budgie except she died on the 2/6/08!

she was 5 years old she tried to lay an egg and she did but my mum had to take her to the vet.. ANd I was so upset....
