  • The dance has that indigenous and Hispanic roots and considered to be one of the oldest in the country.

  • the best tinikling ive seen so far. i hope you can perform that in the philippines!

  • 12AGGIEFAN your Anti Asian,Anti Irish,Anti Roman Catholic,Anti Latino comments are a disgrace to this school and country,i see your a 19 years old Scottish female if anyone knows your identity you should be reported to immigration the ACLU and the school, hopefully your student visa will be withdrawn and you will be deported back to Britain, you are nothing but a hatemonger i would ike you to see the human remains of the slaughter you advocate, your not just sick, your a danger to students too.

  • @julycastro64

    usted es un barbaro demasiado

  • fantasticccccckkkkk

  • Creative! No frills and acrobatics...just plain precision and synchronization. It's Riverdance Filipino style. Thanks for posting.

  • yes i agree w/ jbentio. formally speaking, screaming should be done when the performance has already ended. but yea, it's actually normal to filipino culture.. btw don't bash me lol it's my opinion :P

  • This is taking our beloved Tinikling to a higher level. I'm so proud and so awestruck. A little fine-tuning and this would be a perfect showcase of Filipino vibrancy, creativity and just simple down-to-earth beauty. Congratulations!!

  • Why are people screaming in a middle of performance? Don't they find it rude. Scream after the dance. This is not a concert.

  • that is quite common. the screaming (or calls) are usually done by the performers - either the bamboo holders or some performers watching on the side (although there are none in this video). in this instance, i suspect dancers on the side of the stage are initiating it. it is part of celebrating and appreciating the dance.

  • As this is yearly production, the crowd already knows to cheer on the dancers, so there's no need for initiation. The audience participation throughout both the dances and the acting is fairly common during PCN. You're right, there are other performers in the wings of the stage who are also cheering.

  • During PCN, all the dances are cheered on during performance. It actually is a lot like a concert. In fact, cheering is encouraged even from the sides, as it does motivate the dancers. The dancers feed off the energy of the crowd.

  • mabuhay ang filipinas

  • wow super, ngaun ko lang napanood ang ganitong klaseng tinikling.mahirap at dapat talagang ensayado ang mga dancers otherwise ipit ang mga paa.

  • wow, a work of art come to life! :D

  • wow! galing! kung kasali ako dyan either may baling paa o akin ang may bali! husay byo!

  • this is what you call "CREATIVENESS" and "GREAT PERFORMANCE"!!!

not a single moderness into it.

    5 stars for that!

unlike other tinikling dancers who messes up the traditional way and mixing it up with modern music and dance. what a shame.

  • .Next, to the performers, GREAT JOB! for amateurs like you, there was minimal flaws and you all did it smoothly and keep your coordination. See what hard work, your time(well spent), patience, perseverance and of course the natural grace that every pinoy is innately endowed with(he!he!--mapa sayaw o kanta-magaling ang pinoy!)---these are ingredients to a masterpiece...timeless...GO!pinoys, you rock!--so far the best of all the tinikling posted on you tube...i watch all of it..

  • EXCELLENT! SUPERB! firstly, i congratulate the choreographers who certainly did a very good job here, coordinating and making the tinikling more interesting.I hope you DONOT follow suit with adding the hip-hop, it just doesn't blend. This is traditional yet has a modern twist which is going to be timeless.hip-hop will die, so, i strongly suggest you DONOT add it.

  • Subarashiiii!!!!!galing talaga!

  • After watching the performances of other universities Pilipino Cultural Night (PCN) Tinikling Performances (UCLA, Stanford, CSULB, etc.) as well as professional dance group like the Bayanihan dance group, have to admit that this is the best. Maybe because the camera has a better angle, but nonetheless the creativity, originality, and execution is SUPERB! Tinikling remained about the same as far as I can remember for many many years, but these students revolutionized it. Outstanding job!!

  • Bravo! To all those who participated in this dance including the choreographer/s...you just proved that there is no limit to creativity! You are awesome! This is the best Pinoy You Tube feature ever!

  • I guess all that bike ridding does help the cardio of Aggie students. :) I'm over here in the Philippines and people keep sending this to me - congrats!

  • =O

    t

  • @nesslad i could teach you *wink* *wink*

  • this is one way of making the tinikling popular among our youth...make it even more dynamic, more challenging, and more fun! kudos to all who were part of the presentation.

  • ang GALING !!! Now, if we can only have about 2,000 dancers, dancing in synchronized unison, the Philippines can have an opening number for the Olympics!!! BEAT that CHINA!!! (he he)
