Blake wrote of the marriage of heaven and hell (good and evil) so C.S. Lewis writes of their great divorce. He tries to correct the idea that evil (with tweaking) can eventually good. life is like a math sum. If you make a mistake you have to correct it, you can't keep on going with the sum hoping the mistake will correct itself. So to with evil. evil can never become good.
It is inspired by our Father, more than Charles Lewis ever realised when writing it. This Book is prophetic.
Our Creator, (referred to as "HaShem" in Hebrew, meaning "The Name") through this book, is telling us all that Heaven is truly attainable for all who seriously wish to go there. Don't give up. He truly loves you unconditionally.
Sounds like it would make a great musical.....all you'd have to do is add a love interest.....some guy from hell falls in love with a girl from heaven. It could be called "Heaven side story" and have hit songs like "when you're a demon, you'r a demon all the way", "there's a place for you", "I'm so shitty". . . .
that sounds like such a cool book... if only it were true there would be hope for us all... i have so many books to read already, i hope i can find the time to read this. maybe i can slip it in...
i'm very happy that you make videos... you're easily one of my favorite Utube channels...
I bought two big packets of chocolate mini biscuits for the kids. Only two kids turned up for trick or treat so I was stuck with lots of biscuits left. So waste not want not I ate them. Now tell me who did'nt use the same excuse to gorge on chocy biscuits, be honest......The book sounds like a reverse Dante's Inferno.
great reading material mel. CS lewis is awesome. I like Mere Christianity the most. Did you know the guy that wrote Lord of the Rings was very close friends with CS and he helped convert him from atheism? They were two brilliant men.
I like that youre not afraid to lsiten to all points of view. I do too.
I haven't read it yet, will plan to try it later. The idea that people would go to Hell because they'd want to and because they'd hate Heaven sounds like "blaming the victim". It also contradicts all the claims that Hell is designed as a punishment. If a person felt s/he deserved punishment and wanted to go through with it, then wouldn't that be fulfilling hir wishes? They'd be in Hell and getting exactly what they wanted. Maybe the book will explain it better than ppl who tried to explain.
Thank you very much for this video, Mel. I bought the book a long time ago and never got around to reading it. Maybe now I'll finally read it, thanks to you. :)
I like you...and I'm glad you make videos, by the way :)
Check out Francis Collins too.

Mel,
Take notice of this little book.
(Oh, by the way.. My profession: A bus driver!)
