  • wtf that inst the whole jump sequence -.-

  • Am I the only person who actually loved BSG's finale?

  • where can i find this version of the all along the watchtower?

  • The finale was all right. A whole bunch of hits and misses. Needed more focus on the fight, not just about saving Hera. Finale five scene and Chief going sick was awesome. The Earth stuff I liked. Flashbacks? Boring as hell and quite pointless in my oppinion.

  • @PurpleBadger it was horrible, no explanation on starbuck, caprica, baltar, cavil, hera. the finale was absolute crap. oh look a planet cool... lets abandon all technology! -...ok! and whole humanity agreed to live in fucking caves and screw furry subspecies. hera was useless, htey tried to say she was the first link between neanderthal and cromagnon but the fact is all the cylons were screwing neanderthals and humans alike from there on so hera was useless. i hated finale i wish i never saw it

  • @86Corvus So you would prefer that they tell you the life story of EVERY major character after they landed on Earth? And pay attention. When the Tribes left Kobol, they brought their technology. Cylons happened. The first Earth brought their technology. Cylons happened. New Caprica had the technology. Cylons happened. Notice a pattern? Second Earth: DUnp the tech. No cylons. yet.

  • @liadon31 Dumping tech doesnt work cause humans create tech back so as i said its pointless bullshit, thats the thing that escapes your attention... and yes they had 2 hours thats enough time to tie every plot string, ffs i can do it, which only means the writers were totaly uncreative.

  • @86Corvus The series was getting cancelled. This is the best that the developers could do in that time. I think it went very well. How would you have ended it? Remember, this takes place 150,000 years ago. So your ending has to fit that time frame, AND explain why we don't have the Colonial Tech or knowledge of their existence.

  • @liadon31 it doesnt have to fit that timeframe, i dont have to stick to the badly made ending when im a writer who has yet to write one. Kara was a cylon she had a subroutine of that song and the search for the specyfic mandala in the clouds cause happens to be she was made to direct her feolw men - the other cylons who were people to each other on the old earth - to home that that mandala she inevitably was drawn in was a gravity well that shots its contents directly into the old eart

  • @86Corvus that way her dead body traveled through galaxy untill she came close enough to the old earth to be revived by the remaining there oldearth resurection hub that was updated with the data from the kara cylon and launched her back- stil half consious to the galactica. she wasnt an angel, she was a cylon, unaware one with a subroutine and with no conection to the new cylons from the colonies.

All religious symbolism and temples were made by tribe 13 for tribe 13

  • @86Corvus religiousness is a subroutine of all cylons, they all have a belief they will bend to, they are machines with delusions of free will, they can act freely to some extent but when some things have to be done subroutines activate. old earth cylons lived among men unaware of what they are. the religion thaught to be human is actualy early asimilation of the cylon subroutine beleifs by the infant humanity of the colonies - to whom the cylons seemed like normal people.

  • @86Corvus Thats one of the reasons why the temple couldnt be activated by nonreligious chief-at the time his subroutine was not active, the signal didnt travel yet from the old earth to the chief to activate him. the temple was specyficaly made for cylons that can resurect (nr3 for example who was "acting up"(subroutines start activating) before hand, it activated only then killing the cylon. if a human would see the mesage he would die like cylon but not resurect.

  • @86Corvus and thus the information would be not compromised, only way to retrieve information was to get yourself killed and resurected. But back to the ending you got hera whi is a bridge of peace between the two races you got explained kara that shows cylons lived with humans long time and were concidered humans by others for ages so shes the precedent to realy stop the hate you got explained cylons you got cavil who actualy was a machine that rebelled to a machine.

  • @86Corvus and heres the final episode, humans unite with good cylons to kill of the corupted cavil cylons, and retrieve the symbolic child. and its show that the cavilbase falls into the black hole so theres a tied knot there. everything like it was up till then.

cylons and kara piece the story together explaining cylons and humans can live together, some cylons fly off into space and human survivors reestablish a new colony, with all the tech intact with the good cylon tech combined

  • @86Corvus and htey lived happily ever after together, cylons didnt rebell again cause this time humans had the good cylon tech to keep things in check whenever woudl annything bad ocurr and they all were known from that day as new group humanity+cylons. Actualy making stuff even easier it could turn out that humans are old earth cylons that escaped from the rebelious cylons and formed new colonies with tech so advanced they basicaly became humans.

  • @86Corvus teh story then would be, you got machines that advance, they evolve andeventualy they become biological , on old earth they got corrupted and turn on each other, in last desperation they send out colony ships with uncorupted cylon lifeseed ships, the biological cylons wouldnt survie the trip as they didnt have ftl tech yet and they would die of spaceratioation or old age. so the seed ships fly to recreate them on new colonies from something that can survive- embryos etc.

  • @86Corvus the colonies get created, and eventualy the old virus reaches the new colonies also and corupts, humancylons get atacked by newcylons and you knwo the rest.

  • @86Corvus the cycle is machines create machines that rebell and overcome theyre creators, at last atempt creator machines launch seed ships away from the rebelious machines, they land faaar away and rebuild and eventualy the cycle repeats and this been happening untill they got secret subroutines perfected so they managed to protect the humancreatorcylons and cyloncylons, make them stop war, understand what they are and this time - purge the corupted cylons

  • @86Corvus Ok, so where did you get this information that Kara is a Cylon? Do the frakking math. 8 cylon models known. 5 hidden. 12 in all. the final five are discovered. 12=12. Kara is NOT a cylon. Fact is, she is human. When she dies in the storm, she comes back as an angel. That is actually said by several characters in the series. The ONLY time she is accused of being a Cylon is when Roslin first saw her after her death. Get your facts straight.

  • ye well thats bullshit, angels dont exist this was suposed to be science fiction not religious bullshit fiction. and yea i know all that youve said, doesnt make a dent in my argument. you asked me how i would end the series i told you, it makes more sence and ties all fabular knots, something the scriptwrites should have done themselves. i dont know where you take information that kara is an angel when the creators said they have no idea whats the deal about her, they jsut washed hands

  • @86Corvus

    troll harder

  • @Cyb11 fuck you, hows that?

  • @liadon31 all in all ending was bullshit, it made no sence and even i could have done a better job writing the script than the washedup scriptwriters who openly admited they had no idea how to end the series. A scritpwriter should never lack imagiantion. you can count numbers all you want but there were suposed to be one more model, they said it was corupt and didnt make it, the scriptwriters could have made kara the missing model and viola.

  • @86Corvus Next, you will be saying that Admiral Adama and his son are cylons.

  • painfully slow sequence

  • @liadon31 I agree. Caprica needed more action and not so much drama!

  • Best series I've ever seen, but the finale sucked. What a cop-out finale for such a good show..

  • @piratebri yep, i could come up with a better plot tieing finale than the one script writers did. it was the best show i ever saw and the worst finale i ever saw in a show.

  • Ah come on! You cut the best part when the ship "breaks her back!" That was an outstanding shot!

  • Dang, I wanted to see the ship buckle under the stress after it jumped, that was an amazing yet sad moment

  • The Adama Manuver is the reason why Adama got an ancient Battlestar instead of an new one like the Pegasus. The Admirality does not particularily like the Adama Manuver, for some reason. O.o

  • @liadon31 you gotta re-watch the series bro! he got the galactica because he was pretty much being forced to retire by the admiralty, so they gave him command of what was going to be an orbiting museum.

didnt have much to do with the Adama Maneuver

  • @piratebri lol, i know. but i do wonder why he would sacrifice the Pegasus when it had better ships, weapons, and such. Though the crew was really attached to the ship.

  • JUMP!

  • "I thought that if I assign numbers to the notes"

  • 1123.6536.5321 earths coordinates.

  • @califsk8ter91 that's only relative to the location where they were at the time though heh

  • "I look at you now, I don't see Kara Thrace. I see an angel blazing with the light of God." Well put. She did save humanity during it's darkest hour. This and the Adama Maneuver are the best moments in the history of Frakkin' television.

BTW, Is anyone pissed at SyFy for canceling Caprica?

  • @wolverinet86r Im really pissed that they did. Season 2 would have been great since you would see the final 5 cylons discussing the new world together with Zoe Graystone.

  • @Gruble92 i feel caprica was screwed from the beginning . they focused way to much on religion. it was going ok with the creation of the cylons but according to BSG canon they never reached the level of downloading. thats the whole point that the first war ended. the F5 gave them the tech. actually the cylons werent even looking for that tech. they were making the hybrids. so when caprica decided to end it with zoe downloading and coining the term "skin job" it kidna screwed everything up.

  • @bjornjoseph It doesn't screw it all up; rather, it reinforces BSG's mantra of everything happening again and again. Zoe coining the term skin-job happens again later on in BSG. It becomes part of the unconscious memory of humanity and it repeats itself, just what BSG is trying to explain. As for the downloading, just because Zoe did it doesn't mean it was available to all Cylons at large. It all makes sense if you look at it from the big picture.

  • @waterkeeper511 and without CAPRICA finishing,it will remain the unconscious knowledge because it will never be brought forward

  • @wolverinet86r no. Cparica was boring. it was just a soap opera based in the BG universe. no big space battles or anything.

  • @liadon31 So big space battles make for good TV?

I'm a huge BSG/Caprica fan, but I don't understand why so many BSG fans are so damn rigid. It seems you all like hard science fiction and nothing else. Which is fine. But BSG is about way more than that. And Caprica was something else entirely.

  • @waterkeeper511 This rarely happens to me. I watched Caprica myself, and I have to say that I enjoyed it. However, I dont think that it fits into the Battlestar Galactica story THAT well. Frankly, I forgot that this was NOT taking place on Earth most of the time. So you are right, Caprica was something else, but I enjoyed more in BSG than the space battles. Politics, religion, conflict, all of that fit in really well in the series.

  • What a great show. I was amazed that it eclipsed the original BSG.

  • In the time it took her to dile the coordinats the Cylons could have killed them all

  • @thehelix27 haha. or maybe the nuke detonation? or the explosive decompression from the station? or the fact that they were falling into a singularity??....

  • ah man those episodes gave me the fucking goose bumps. bloody epic music

  • The one thing they never explained in the TV show was that Kara's dad was the (7th?) Cylon that was killed, and so therefore Kara was half-cylon. That's how her dad knew the song, ad that's why he disappeared.

  • @CortanaFTW Wtf?

  • @LadyMorwena Hmph, let me explain

Kara's Dad went missing when she was a kid, and one of the Cylons were completely wiped out. Kara's dad knew the piano song because he was the cylon who was destroyed. Kara's dad was that cylon.

    Get it now?

  • @CortanaFTW Kara's dad left to pursue his musical career. He knew the song because it was part of the human/cylon collective unconscious. That's why Anders wrote it, why Dreilide wrote it, and ultimately why Bob Dylan wrote it. The same thing explains why the colonials spoke English and had the same vehicles and clothing as us. Kara disappeared at the end because she was an angel like head-Six and head-Baltar and she was ready to move on.

  • @CortanaFTW nah he wasnt. ron moore said in a podcast that was thrown in to frak with us... but he wasnt meant to be the daniel model... hell i thought he was at first.. kinda fits well. but cylons cant procreate... athena was the only because she was a freak!!!!!

  • @CortanaFTW The number 7 line, Daniel, was permanently deleted by Cavil LONG before the second Cylon War.

  • One of the best parts of this episode is when brother cavil realizes that all is shit and shoots himself immediately. Made me lol.....haaaardddd...

  • @Oliv3rLaid "Frak!" BOOM!

  • SO EPIC

  • This part sends chills down my spine and chokes me up, not sure why.

  • Sends chills down my spine...

  • Comment removed

  • Every time that i see this video and listen to the dialogue, I always get chills. This made the entire series rock. JUMP!

  • The 8 copies of Brother Cavil that thumbed this down need airlocking.

  • @nighthawk006phoenix whoooosh

  • @nighthawk006phoenix Now 11 Geeze where are they coming from!?

  • what is the name of the episode??

  • @stefanmotorola

    "Daybreak"

  • Quite simply the greatest sci-fi show ever made. Although pidgeon-holing it just to sci-fi would be to miss the point.

  • @evertonia54 - Harlan Ellison would agree with you. He spoke at an awards ceremony, & said essentially that RDM took a terrible premise ( the original BSG ) & made it into something great with the re - make.

  • yees yeees yyeees finly i have found this clipp. i saw the this serie for the first time ever tonight well the last episode damn what i burst in tears the music whas soooo epic and the bsg is no doubt the best sci fi show that have ever shown on tv long live bsg .... bsg4ever i can whatch this clip for ever so epic is it

  • FUCKING LOVE!!!!!

  • Epic, just fuckin EPIC!

  • EPIC

  • i liked show, wasn't crazy about it, but the last episode and this scene in particular was just WOW

  • you are my angel Kara Thrace

  • how is possible for this show to be that much awesome! LOVE it!

  • OMFG I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! THE PROPHACY THE SONG EVERYTHING!!! ITS AMMMMMAAAAZINGGG!!!!! anyways what is starbuck? an angel?? and what are that lady and man that seam to also be angels?? (sorry havent seen this show for a long time forgot the two peoples names)

  • Still makes my frakking skin crawl

  • FUCKING HELL Yesssssssssssssssssss

  • and for the final post

I'm a super nerd who loves BSG!!!!!

  • @Gergling11 Thumbs up, you and me both dude..

  • And the religion argument thing really shouldnt matter most religions today are simply different version of 1 simple faith that people have adopted and made their own over generations of time.

  • all through the last season, they say parts of the all along the watchtower song, the last one said is the one walquz pointed out. I didn't see this until my second watch through the series. it was interesting.

  • I can't frakking move every time I see that simply astonishing

  • JUMP !

  • best bsg scene EVER!

  • Half of these views are made by me( :D ), because THIS IS SO FKING GREAT ENDING!!!!!!!!

  • God i miss this show :(

  • If the writers actually got their religious stuff right, they would've known that when people die they don't turn into angels in heaven. The Angels are whole other beings, separated from humans.

  • @MisterPenguinMusic Kara was an "Angel blazing with the light of god" long before she died

  • @MisterPenguinMusic You seem to be under the assumption that the writers were basing the supernatural elements of the show purely on christian tradition. While there were similarities, I don't think that was the intent.

  • @Arkalius80 Yeah, I think you're right. They went with a multi-religion thing. Evolution was in there, and Gaius Baltar said stuff like it didn't matter what type of God or gods it was that was affecting them, etc... Still. I'm always peeved when even Christians believe that people become angels.

  • Starbuck rules! At first I hated her, but now I love her.

  • *SPOILER* they jump and... in the middle of a star.

  • The final coordinates to Earth are 1123, 6536, 5321.

  • @isaned if you play them on a piano with C as 1 then it is all along the watchtower its so awesome

  • Bob Dylan was a Cylon. Prove me wrong.

  • @LionelMessi1337 He was a human! there are no cylons! Prove me wrong! ;-p

  • i love you Kara Thrace

  • @heavystump

Just download the battlestar galactica OST off pirate bay or something, oh and I live this scene!

  • so what was Kara Thrace in the end? Was she actually an angel? Is that why she disappeared in front of Lee Adama? Was she the same sort of angel as the imaginary Baltar and Caprica were?

  • @HelmutVillam Probably not the same sort of angel. She was still herself and she didn't realize she'd been "sent" until it was time for her to leave again. But she -was- probably sent by the same God that sent the angels.

  • I wish I could find that EXACT song somewhere online.

  • @heavystump If you use the iTunes Store, it's available on the Season 3 soundtrack.

  • EPIC ending, the best in all tv series;]

  • Gave me goosebumps.

  • I don't like sci-fi series, but BG has been amazing, one of the best series (of all genres) I've ever seen!

Take a look at my Battlestar Galactica's video on my channel if you want! ;)

  • I just finished watching this series. Frakking awesome!!!

  • @mrsimms101 I am rewatching it for the sixth time now :)

  • THe incidental music is amazing for this show. As of this year it has to be one of my most favourite sci fi shows.

  • Holy shit BSG playing at 60 frames per second just like a real graphically intensive video should. :O

  • I wonder why the vulcans didn't believe that the matrix had turned to the dark side. I mean, it's clear that frodo was weakening at that point so why didn't they put hufflepuff under a patronus charm.

  • @masterofthehousehg lol you sir, are pure win

  • I ever wondered what would happen when Galactica jumps with the Pods deployed (Actually that happened in the Miniseries but that was a CG-mistake^^)

I think even after this battle and jump, the Galactica could defend itself very well.

  • JUST AMAZING... the best sci-fi series ever

  • fracking epic

  • Yer true, USSR1941, lol.

  • Iv said it before and I'll say it again, this scene was fucking epic.

    BSG, you will be missed.

  • You made a mistake you mean "Frakin epic!" LOL

  • Only the Lords of Kobol exist out of normal time, thats why they and God had forsight. The events from the human point of view happened in order, there is no time travel.

  • Best scene of the best tv series ever. That music combined with Leobin saying "I don't see Kara Thrace, I see an angel blazing with the light of God" sends chills all over my body. Love it!

  • As EPIC as Gurren Lagann.... I didn't it to end... It was a so frakkin perfect show...

Caprica... Well... It's not the same...

And about "THE EARTH", well... The last Earth IS our Earth, there's no travel time thing... It's just a cycle that keeps repeating again and again in different places...

  • I used to tune in every friday and tried to make sure I got home from work in time to watch bsg. Now, there's not much worth watching on Sci Fi. Maybe Caprica will be good but it didnt catch my attention until I saw the Cylon at the end of the first episode

  • EPIC

  • This was one of my favorite shows of all time!!!

  • This was such an awesome scene - and then when they showed the new Earth it fucked over the rest of the show for me.

  • dude it wasnt a "new earth" -> it was "the earth" - "our earth" aight? the first one was a cylon colony which just happend to have the same name.

  • It's wrong thinking about "Cylon Earth" and "our Earth"...Tha planet in the same, just in different time. Remember the Skyline of the "Cylon City" at the end of 3 seson? well it looks like NY city. The final five are borned in our future. Remember? The Terrestrial (human of this planet)have DNA half cylon. It's a "cycle" whitout an end: we will make our "centurion" in future, they rebelled. 5 people will excape with the resurrection tecnology. But Before we have found a planet called Kobol....

  • @nuclearsun2000 The final scene optimistically suggests that mankind can avoid making again the mistakes that doomed our race (listen again the the Baltar and Six angels in Manhattan). Even though we will create artificial intelligence, we may see the danger before it's too late.

And by the way, there's no time travel in the BSG series. There were two Earths. The Cylon Earth and "our" Earth, taking this name after the first one.

  • Nothing to do with a time loop. Cylon Earth was home of the 13th tribe, they died due to rebellion and fled. The skyline also looked the same on Caprica, New York and Cylon Earth because man will always reach this technological point with the passing of time. Notice how you never saw any continents from Space when Cylon Earth was found....i knew there and then that it wasn't this Earth because they showed our Earth clearly when Starbuck returned.

  • No. As others have said they are two different planets. Remember, the colonials have been on both and identified them as different. The Baltar and Six "angels" also identified them as different. They noted that the cycle had thus far occurred on Kobol, (Cylon) Earth, the 12 colonies, and are hopeful that it won't happen on this Earth.

  • @joeblow83 but...all of this has happened before...and will happen again.

  • @cloreal I wouldn't be surprised if it does... this show raised that question in my mind more than Bladerunner, or even Terminator. Really well developed story, and it's scary thought isn't it , will it happen again? All I can say is that if it does happen, I hope it's not in my lifetime...just day to day life in these folks' situation would stress me OUT!

  • this was one of the parts in the series that i was just kind of sitting there, like, omg. omg. omg. all along the fraking watchtower omg. omg. omg. this is the best show ever made in the history of mankind.

  • indeed, and this scene is one of its finest moments!

  • "There must be some kind of way out of here"

Never realised she said that. It's the first line of lyrics from All Along The Watchtower - theme in the background.

  • excellent i got the DVD BOX !

  • BSG "jump drives" don't move the ship through actual space, it folds two points in space together, therefore the ship never actually "moves" through space, so "faster than light" or "FTL" is abit of a misnomer in this regard. :D

  • Fair play

  • never knew FTL meaning... thanks.

  • Ohmygawd, I just wet myself because of awesomeness.

  • Great show, great finale. My only complain is the middle of Season 4.. there were 4 or 5 episodes where the pacing really slowed down. Starbuck on her Garbage Ship with some of the Galactica crew looking for a route to Earth, but all it was was a major whine-fest and Starbuck finger-painting. This was during the writer's strike, so probably why those episodes weren't that great. But the show really is the best drama of all time.

  • 1123 6536 5321

  • Fuck...

  • /Frak?

  • awesome, scene it 100 time, watched every episode, and i still love the way this show wrapped it up, lost should do sumthing cooler llike , i dont knw

  • Best scene of the best TV show EVER!

  • theres no hull damage at the time of the jump

  • Wouldn't the Galactica caused the colony immense subspacial damage when it jumped from the colony?

  • @Shadamachaeon

    very great observation!

  • They had to jump because the Raptor with the dead team lunched about 6 nukes.

  • Yes and those nukes had cause the cylon base to start drifting into the singularity... if Galactica hadn't jumped she'd have been sucked in with it.

  • song name

  • Karas coordinates thats the name of the song

  • Starbuck is the Gandalf of BSG

  • .......Eww

  • lmao

  • @TheloniousFunk1 only that gandalf is not dead <.<

  • @TheloniousFunk1 xD yes the white wizzard

  • I get chills every time.

  • Were have u taken us Kara!!

    Fantastic series.

Just bought the bluray boxset, well worth getting boys and girls if u don't already have it.

  • Most epic scene in the entire show, and the entire history of TV.

  • @Calick I still miss BSG Calick you are so right

  • an angel playing the last notes of salvation

    god I miss BSG

  • So buy the entire series - mini, and the four seasons - and watch an episode when you need a fix. That's what I do.

  • The series ended good, but the first half of Season 4 was horrible. Frakkin writer's strike. Hated the episodes of Kara and Co where she spent 3 episodes painting on her wall.

  • Some say that the end of the series was not good enough. Even if that was true (which is not) I think this scene alone made the series worth it, not just the final episode.

    Frakking epic!

    So say we all!

  • I loved the beginning of the 4th season. Just how the final 5 were dealing :) Totally turning their world, &other's upside down..

Yeah.. I'm guilty of that. So many of my friends, even online, hated the ending. I loved bits of it loved how they were our ancestors. But it was like waving a magic wand & saying a wizard did it. Or in this case god. Would have been much better if they were from the future trying to peice things together before & as it happened. Like it was a game of chess for them.

  • Although I'm not a religious man, I liked that "magic wand" you pointed out. It's unexpected on a Sci Fi show. That's why I loved it =)

I think "time travel" is overused these days, though =(

  • You do know a hyperdrive core is FAR different from a time machine right?

  • Yes. But I think you misunderstood me.

My post was directed to Kewlausgirl.
