  • see my models on sketch up joshua daniell

type that on sketch up and you will see my models and i got pro8 for free! go to How to get Google SketchUp Pro8 For Free to get yours! trust me you get Google SketchUp Pro8 For Free!

  • nice song though

  • booooorrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnngggggggg!

  • NICE SONG! EVANESCENCE ROCKZZ! \m/ :D

  • wheres the flat bottom???

  • Well u did tht the hard way but great

  • Thanks =)

  • My lines to create the curve make a see through surface...how do I make it like yours?

  • what`s the name of this program??????

    really good vid

  • u can erase it on the flat sides

  • You could just use push and pull tool instead of wireing.

  • you dont have no flat bottom. . .would be a very quick ride. . ecspecially for a mini ramp were tricks are very technical and you need time to set up. . .Cool Video non-the-less. . .

  • it exists a easier way

  • In my opinion, I prefer AutoCAD much more than sketch up. I mainly use sketch up for pdf measurements, but AutoCAD is a shitload of money. Overall the guide was good. 5/5

  • is autocad better than skekchup for doing 2D drawing

  • In every way, but it takes some time to learn.

  • @l0n3lysk8er AutoCAD is a completely different product to Sketchup. CAD is a complete drafting/modelling package whereas Sketchup is a 3D sketching and visualisation tool. I would never use Sketchup for architectural renderings but when it comes to bashing out quick ideas and brainstorming it is invaluable to me.

I can sit alongside my boss and model with a mouse as fast as he can draw with a pencil, try doing that in CAD!

  • My friend, there is always a way in CAD, even if some people think it may take long, there's a macro key to finish up the job (: but I understand you and yes, sketch up is better in some ways that do count.

  • @l0n3lysk8er I refuse to believe that anybody calling themself l0n3lysk8er could ever know AutoCAD better than I do.

  • @josepheath I never said I was better. I'm a student in AutoCAD however I've used it for a while just messing around. I'm the top architect of the academy in my school so on my behalf, I can say I'm skilled with AutoCAD however I bet there's many other things about it I have to learn. You don't make a youtube account to advertise yourself as an applicant to a job you know. Someone with the account name ballinbitch4u is probably an ivy league student for all we care... I'm sorry in any other case

  • @l0n3lysk8er No... Nope... Sorry... I won't ever believe it...

  • Comment removed

  • the 3D is a 2D totally

It removes the line in 3D

    thats my idea

  • its faster (and more exactly) when you draw one curve and use the push-pull tool

  • is it free?

  • yes the free edition is free

but the pro version is very expensive

i read that it cost 340€

  • @Etniesboy21 That is not expensive.

  • Can someone tell me if it is possible to make things smaller. For example,I want to copy a house and want to make the scopy 1/2 of its original by its side...

  • Make a copy of it and then use the scale tool to make it .5 of the size.

  • Oh, the scale O_O lol, now I can keep doing my project, Thanks, I really apreciate it!...

  • @Pacheco212 I think you need to format your C drive first. Format your C drive and it should be OK.

  • @josepheath What do you mean by formatting my C drive?

  • you suck !

  • i can bether

  • whats the music please

  • The band is Evanescence, I dont know the song title though

  • Evanescence - Everybody's Fool

  • evenescence never was

  • here's a better way, not too be a jack ass or somethin, but all you need to do is make a cube, draw a arc, and push pull it all the way back.

    muuuuuuuch easier!!:P

  • also instead of slowly removing the lines by right clicking, you can use the rubber and hold shift

  • ummm there sorta is a much easier way to do that

ummm u kno the curve tool thing wat u do is u make a box or wat eva thn u lift u thn put the curv part on one side to the other thn pull it down so it looks like a ramp

    lol much easier lol:P

  • theres a way to make it actually look like a ramp. not tryin to be a smartass but yea.

  • preety cool

  • LoL... You can select all lines and do smoth endges.

  • yea!!! i like. good job and song.

do u kno how to select some entire thing u made and shrink it or make it bigger?

  • Want me to make a tutorial on it when i have time?

  • its ok i figured it out later that day lol. thanks anyway

  • @swesomeguy sure that would be cool

  • @gregm93 use the scale thing

  • crazy awlsome

  • thats cool thks for putting up the tutorial.

  • make one side and then just pull it to the other and they will both be uqual with no lines.

  • rawr

  • i dont have anything good to say,oops I left a coment

  • rofl

  • bei mir kommen die Blöcke nicht, wenn ich von der eine seite zu der anderen eine Linie ziehe wieso ?

  • i only just started to use this thanks m8 very useful

  • Need for madness graphics lol.

  • just make a rectangle, pull it to 3d, make an arch push it out

  • cool

  • by the way to hide all the lines just use the rubber on them while holding shift instead of right-clicking on everything

  • thx for the tip! :)

  • @swesomeguy Great video, but i have to respond cause this is funny...he said something about a rubber, then you said somethinga bout a tip. lol

  • much easier way just go to view then go to edges and disable. then enable it if u want the lines back.

  • this is like a drain pipe if you want to look at awesome skateramps go to the name (Thekustomizer1) to see what i have made in minutes that is original

  • something good

  • how do you copy

  • who's music is that? evanescence?

  • yes

  • thats cool

  • cool

  • ..hi is google sketch up ...rite?

  • wow people just click around they dont read do they the title

  • this is one archery! hehe this pipe sucks so much^^

  • dude, you have no little long area between the two quarters. you´re understand? a pipe must have a slightly long area

  • what is program name ???

  • 1 tip

use the ctrl and the delet toghether

    good luck

  • check my video response on how to make a realistic one! :)

  • all you have to do is make a box and make an arc and delete the arc part

  • Why don't you simply draw the pipe profile and push it to create a 3D object? It is 1000 times simplier.

  • as i´ve said many times, this was made a long time ago, and i just got Gsu when i made the vid.

  • how do u make that

  • Very Easy

  • lol,come see my pro stuff at 3D warehouse,like m1a1 abrams(tank),aircraft carrier

  • yeah :)

  • though there is a much easier way to make a halfpipe(create a 2d halfpipe, then use the push/pull tool), I'd like to point out there is a much easier way to soften/smoothen edges to. just pick eraser, hold ctrl, and go over the lines you want to soften/smoothen.

  • yeh, but i wuz a stupid noob when i made this ^^

    so thx :D

  • There's a much easier way to make a halfpipe:

    Make a big 3D square.

Then make a half circle on one side of it.

Lift this half circle to the other side of the square, to the total end.

    Voila, a halfpipe :)

  • yes i know.

But, i just showed how you can make a halfpipe, and when i did this vid i had only had google sketchup for like 2 days xD (i wuz NOOBISH! ^^)

  • I'd like to point out a few things. I noticed both sides aren't even. The left is taller than the right. Also, there's supposed to be flat at the bottom of any pipe. Also, there is no coping on this pipe.

  • also added onto joeys comment one side has a steeper transition and its a miniramp not a half pipe i think because it doesnt go up vertical

  • A mini ramp?! have you watched the video?

  • A half pipe's coping and decks are higher, this is a mini ramp.

  • you know there are far better ways of doing this right? use the push pull to make the pipe and the eraser (while holding shift) to smooth lines

  • thx

  • sweet

  • yeah, thx m8

  • nice job i just installed the sketchup since we're using it at school. oh and by the way when you want to get rid of a line just use th eraser tool. you should put that skate boarder guy in there. go to i think its components or something and go to ppl. and he'll be in there somewhere.

  • ye man! thx for the tip! ^^

i will make a new when i get my computer. :)

if anyone wanna help me plz just PM me, ok`!? :

  • i like the tut and you should do more but the next one should be a litle bit more usefull like a 3d human or a car (just something thats a litle more difficult K)

  • plz comment! :D

  • np m8s! :D (tell me u want more lessons!)

  • kool

  • i did it and it works thanks
