The X-Files, Edgar Mitchell, Roswell and UFOs

As long as the media keeps it's focus and it's attention on petty insignificant stories such as that of the balloon boy and UFOs remain in the science fiction pop culture, the truth will never come out. It's a shame really, because so many many people I know personally have seen UFOs, and yet they say later they don't believe in the phenomena. They have no idea how common of an experience these sightings are, and thus prefer to hide away the memories in favor of normality and acceptance.
