Accusations of plagiarism are absolutely ungrounded, see "Fairytales" in Wikipedia, where Molchanov is credited as a composer. Sasha has even received a permission from Molchanov's family. By the way, the very good song from the movie was never popular in Soviet Union as far as I remember but Sasha turned it into a hit with a different structure and strong lyrics.

Some idiots actually accused Rybak of plagiarism with this song, which is bullshit since Rybak DID IN FACT CREDIT Russian composer Kirill Molchanov for this melody. Check Rybak's album Fairytales, it says "A.Rybak/K.Molchanov". So stop with the crap saying he plagiarized it. Molchanov was given credit!

You are the one. He didn't give a credit to Molchanov, because Molchanov's melody is far more popular and bright. It is called Plagiat when you use someone's idea and turn it into your own.
