@ruthflying -- You can say, "Breakfast has been made." That's the present perfect tense. "Breakfast is being made," is correct. That's the present continuous tense. Both are in the passive voice.

@megapower110us -- You're right, dude. Sometimes the passive voice isn't the best choice, but you still have to learn what it is.

@learnamericanenglish Obviously if the teacher is unknown, then the sentence needs passive voice; you were taught English, instead of: X taught you English.

Dear teacher, in the sentence " I teach you English" , the verb teach is clearly a DISTRANSITIVE Verb, means it can have two objects, the first one INDIRECT OBJECT (YOU), the second one DIRECT OBJECT (ENGLISH). Being an expert we expect these terms to be mentioned. thanx
