@YoungPhoenix3191 i know, but although actually a simple riff, he still plays it badly, hits the b string acidentally a couple of times, rhythmically it could have been more there, and he should be using a telecaster through a fender deluxe amp with some spring reverb :)
@YoungPhoenix3191 lol, yh maybe, and i know i dont let it spoil the performance, it abosultely owns, and yh i do ive bin playing 8 and a half years now, and no i dont have the time to blog or make vids im afraid :(
I also forgot to mention that the first three cues from 0:00 to 3:03 make up the David Arnold/Propellerheads version of On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
Por amor a DIOS que barbaro!! que belleza de musica para mi mejor que la de Starwars puro jazz orquestal y sublime:Coincido los minutos 6:50 y 9 :40 tan en otro nivel molto bellisimo.WOW!!!!!!!.
Dude, I know that. In fact, I know all James Bond Soundtracks and I have all CDs from Dr. No to GoldenEye. My point is that I don't like the Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig movies, and the new Soundtracks for these movies (except for GoldenEye) are nothing for my taste. The new songs have nothing to do with "James Bond Music" anymore.
@007fordummieshahaha! I'm pretty much for the ways of bondage too!... Oh and I like James Bond movies also! hahaha!
What your fave? I love Thunderball. Beautiful locations and oh my goodness! Claudine Auger and Luciana Paluzzi so hot! My fave Bond girls to date although it's otherwise hard to choose.
John Barry and Jerry Goldsmith, my two most loved composers. God love them both.
Can anyone tell me which film the piece starting at about 4.20 is from? Or what it's called? I've been looking for it for ages! I'd really really appreciate it.
THE BBC CAN KEEP THEIR BELOVED DR WHO ON SERIES LINK ON THEIR IPLAYER BUT WHEN IT COMES TO SOMETHING CLASSIC LIKE THESE PROMS YOU CAN ONLY HEAR THEM IN FULL FOR ONLY 7 DAYS . WHY WHY WHY ??. A GREAT TRIBUTE TO THE BEST COMPOSER EVER MR JOHN BARRY
@DRAINPIPE57 John Barry is one of the greats, to be sure. But better than Bernard Herrmann, John Williams, Miklos Rozsa, Maurice Jarre, Max Steiner, Franz Waxman, the Newmans (Thomas, Alfred, or Randy), William Walton, Eliot Goldenthal, Alexandre Desplat or even Danny Elfman? A matter of taste.
@DRAINPIPE57 As much as I love Doctor Who, I completely agree. When it was on iPlayer, I kept playing it constantly all week to make the most of the short time it was available. I have been searching for this ever since I saw the Prom back in the Summer. RupertJones I am so grateful to you, I think this medly is wonderful, especially the orchestral version of 'You Know My Name'.
@Paulmaxrobert Considering how the Incredibles was made after James Bond, I'll hazard a guess that Michael Giacchino copied John Barry, not the other way around.
The Propellerheads' cover of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" was used for the Incrdibles trailer... so, yes, it was "copied" for that.
Otherwise Michael Giacchino did get a strong influence from Barry's Bond scores for The Incredibles. He does a little bit of the same for Cars 2, but borrows much more from Arnold's take on Bond music for that film.

The music is as follows:
0:00 James Bond Is Back (from the opening title sequence of From Russia With Love, but with a slight edit)
0:09 On Her Majesty's Secret Service (theme from, you guessed it, On Her Majesty's Secret Service)
1:27 Capsule in Space (also known as the Space March from You Only Live Twice)
3:03 007 (used in FRWL, Thunderball, Moonraker)
4:20 Goldfinger Theme (seems to be a mix of the various versions of the song throughout the film's soundtrack)
*to be continued*
