Try the 1/16 pushrods they will lower it perfectly without messing with the springs works great and easyer

I run it with two 3S (Orion, 25 C 1300mAh) in parallel, rest all stock (no speed pinion) and the result is 52 mph. Speed checked with a garmin foretrex. Cheeting the esc to run two 7,4 Lipos serial: May be by just not setting it into low voltage protection mode . . . .

But I would rather try out some other 11,1V Lipos with 40 C and 1800 mAh and mount the speed pinion. But before, I will try to get the body to a lower setup by using other springs, If anybody has a recommendation on that . . . .

The truck should be as low to the ground as you can get it for speed runs. This one is at full stroke here, lot's of drag. From the sound of the mic its also very windy. Not a very good set of controls for your experiment. Too many variables that can effect the outcome. Nice truck though. Those little thing are a blast.

that last run was easily 55mph or more.... I don't trust the iphone speedo apps..... They don't respond quickly enough. The apps are so slow that even cruising on the highway, it takes a second or two to show the current speed let alone when something like an rc car accelerates so quickly. I

you can drive the car wit 1 LiPo 3s than you can drive 60 mph with it and a iphone app isn´t really correctly

run a 26 or 30 pinion and a 45 spur and you can hit somewhere around 50 with 2 stock batteries

The speedy won't run 4s in lipo mode hence you need to lie to it or trick it to run 4s

As lessons97 said, break in the motor, I've been running my 1:16 slash for about four days now on single 2s (I don't like how you need to lie to it to run 4s) and only now is it getting silly, plus if the LiPos are new they take about 10 cycles to be able to put out the claimed C rate

It's not a brushed motor so it doesn't need to but broken in. Maybe a few runs but the main thing was probably the batteries. It usually takes a few cycles to be top notch not 10. I am not a newbie so I know how rc electronics work. Also what do you mean by "lie" about 4s??

@orangefit07 I think its funny how you say your not a newbie but you dont know what we mean by ''lie about 4s'' BTW what they mean by lie is to trick the esc into accepting the high voltage of 4s. the esc is desighned for 3s max and they must trick it to get it to accepts 14.8 volts!

the app sucks, my friends speed gun got like 57 mph, with 4s lipo,same thing from max amps 200 mah and 7.4 volt battery lipo, 2, that what he uses

I see no need to run this truck in 4s configuration. Gears are cheap. I have a 45t spur gear and all the way up to a 37t pinion gear. When I installed the 34t. pinion this thing still pops wheelies like crazy on 3s. I don't know what kind of speed this truck will attain with that gearing as the stock Talons start to vibrate when the truck aproches 60mph. I now have some Jaco foam tires that I have yet to try. I wonder what kind of speed I can expect with my 37t/45t gearing.

Nope. It actually does wheelies all the time. Depends on which battery you have in it. The lipos make it wheelie a lot.

Umm, you should be able to. It was a free app. Just search speedometer in the app store. I just put the phone more towards the front and raised the body mounts all the way up. Put the body right over and clip it down and that's it. No strapping down. I started using a garmin gps now and I think it's a little more accruate.

hey mahn..cool vid but i think theres something wrong with your app or something because ive seen this thing og that speed on other vids and it was going about 50-60 and sometimes even 70, all of them batts would have been quicker and have been on other vids.. maybe you should put some bearings in and do some lubing cause this lil car can go super quick and i mean super

You know what you might be right. I will have to try it with my garman GPS. When I used the 28T pinion with the 4s setup it did 60mph using my iphone. I don't know.

I think that too.... i tested mine Mini E-revo VXL on dual NiMh in series, while my GPS mounted on it, it did 76km/h = 48-49mph even with that extra weight onboard. And it looked like on your vid, your car on 4s was much faster than mine on dual NiMhs but i dunno for sure :)
