And they you get to the next level of learning and realize you don't *need* to have a "roll-and-early-swivel" release..... you could very well be using a angeled or even *vertical* release pattern. Heck, you can even use almost a minimum of club face rotation and keep it 90 deg perfectly (almost) square to club shaft swing path althrough the swing(!) without miss out having a "release" - and play perfect golf (although you miss out one power acc - club head rotation) It's all about hands/wrists.
Back in High School i would bring the club way past parallel and across the line making me hit these "bananna" type shots. Well to fix that i strengthened my grip. Now, 3 years later, i have a 4 handicap and my swing is way better than it used to be, but my grip is still extremely strong (almost 4 knuckles visible). I CANT change it. I tried it for 5 rounds now, but blow EVERY shots 10-50 yrds. Is it a must change or can i become a scratch golfer with it, considering the rest of my game is good?
I started using a really strong grip with my driver because basically no matter what I did I would either pull or cut the ball too much. Now I am able to hit long, straight drives.
Every time I have a lesson the teacher tries to correct my strong grip. At last someones says a strong grip is OK - yippee. Why can't pros work with what I have, instead of trying to change everything that isn't "perfect"?
I have watched several of your videos and like them. You have a good speaking voice so that improves the videos overall.
Please adjust your audio levels to be more or less the same for all your videos. Some I have to turn my volume way up and when I watch another the sound blasts me out of my seat.
So as long as I get so lean with the shaft at impact it does not matter where my front hand is? As a lefty the logo on my glove would say point at about 10 on the clock at impact, with a square clubface, I know this is not text book but is this OK?
Thanks for the explanation.
I prefer strong grip because I can feel the swing much comfortable with it. I often hit a low trajectory and the ball rushes forward after landing.
The question is how can I hit a high trajectory ball with a strong grip in order to land the ball on the green.
