How do you get this so you don't get the MIDI feedback from User 2 page on Session page? It all seems to work ok but when you switch to session mode the sequencer feedback causes the LEDs on the Sess page to blink. Was thinking of trying this but would need to re-map channels through Bome

@jestermgee Check out the included manuals please. There's a button on each page for turning LED's on and off.

For some reason the aurex apps aren't working for me anymore. It's not displaying the user1 & user2 properly. Not displaying the sequencing LED, and the lights are amber. Nothing has changed in the setup within ableton.

@stereoimagery Sorry man, just tried 8.2.2 and 8.2.6 and everything works fine here. Are your ins and outs correct? Normally, the dark grey tracks need to go out to your Launchpad, is this the case with you? Check some of the manuals I created (you can read the SampleDeck manual for more info about this). If you can't figure it out, please send me a mail, I don't check YT that often. Cheers

@stereoimagery Hi. Are you working on Lion? For some reason these apps aren't working with Lion.

Hopefully, there will be a bug fix in the next months.

Until that, I can only advise you to use Snow Leopard because Lion needs some improvement for most audio programs.

Are the midi outputs going to your Launchpad? Check the SampleDeck manual for that - it's the same for Masher.

@leadfarmer13 The Masher is an FX Sequencer / FX Device made with Ableton Live 8 for the Novation Launchpad. You need a launchpad and Live 8.1.3 or higher. Downloads are available on my site (check the youtube "more info" tab above.

Hi, I have my Ableton Live Launchpad edition installed, (8.0.6) But I really want to go on with my launchpad. Do I have to buy a full version of Ableton Live to make this work? because it doesnt work in the trial neither..

@DuViOnline Yes, you need a version that can handle grouped tracks. Live Lite/Intro/LP edition can't handle those so you need the normal version of Live 8.1 or higher.

Tip: Here's what you have to do for placing your own FX instead of Live's native ones:

- Go to the Seq/FX rack

- Select one of the FX (Cutter, Radio, ...)

-> Next to the selection you'll see the following racks "SEQ", "MUTES" and the effect rack you just selected (e.g. "RADIO")

- delete the "radio" rack (or any other rack you just selected)

- insert your own effect just after the "mutes" rack

That's it, all the mappings will continue to work!

I am also really really want to find out how to mix in one song to another. You did it on the video, but I have no idea how you did it (sound so smooth btw). You switch between user 1 and user 2 and did something on the session view. If you can tell me how to transition 2 songs, that will be greatly appreciated. I want to bring this rack to my launchpad set, but I have to at least know how to transition first.

@hughhou This is what I did:

- In User2 I have "cutter" effects, to slice up the sound.

- I'm using reverb and delay effects on the first song, and then I'm cutting it up

- then, I go to session to start another song

- I cut it more, and lower the volume

- I use the beat repeat to make a loop

The cool thing about this is that you can have 'slices' of a song over the other song.

Takes a bit of practice though, but it's definitely fun to experiment with. Have fun!

Thx! Please excuse my newbie question. But I realize any effect (cutter/reverb etc) in both User1 and User2 are assigned to both songs if I create a new audio track and try to mix in that song (it send to mash up sequencer).

How can I use the masher to just assigned cutter, reverb, repeat and other effects to just one track, and smoothly mix in the other. Then I can immediately add effects on the second one?

Looking for Launchpad rack to play around and found this. Super amazing!! I just download your rack and play around and everything works like magic. BUT, I have no knowledge of fx sequencer and how to use it appropriately in a live DJ sets. If there is a manual to tell what button is what effect and how to use each effect, that will be super!

Sorry didn't have the time to make a manual (everything is for free and I don't earn anything with these racks so I have to do all the work in my free time). But I included a picture in the zip you downloaded to show what everything does. Just try some things out, and you'll get it in no time! BTW I'm making a site atm for all these devices with manuals and more info but it will take some time.

This is really phenomenal work. I (and i'm sure everyone else) really appreciates you sharing this for free! The drummachine module is amazing work as well. You really should push these - they're by far the best work i've seen and used for the LP to date. I can't wait to integrate this into my live pa. I may buy another LP just to use these!
