Many people buy them for that exact reason, and also 250's are commonly used in basic rider courses due to the fact that they're light and easy to handle, and the power is very manageable. I'm not sure how your local laws are but here in Michigan anyone under 18 must take a motorcycle course in order to get they CY endorsement, but even if where you are doesn't, I'd recommend looking into finding one to take, especially if your new to motorcycles.

The Ninja can easily go 80-90mph; for someone who wants a bike for nothing more than commuting, a 250 is cheap to buy, cheap to maintain, and goes more than fast enough to get by on the highway. @prince123182 Wow, really? Unless you're racing, is there really any need for anything more than a 250? The Ninja can easily go 80-90mph; for someone who wants a bike for nothing more than commuting, a 250 is cheap to buy, cheap to maintain, and goes more than fast enough to get by on the highway. There's nothing pussy about a 250.

@almightylsama i don't know why any1 would thumb u up unless they didn't know shit about motorcycles....1. the 250 is super light an its speed would be affected by someone heavy
2. if you ride on the highway its really easy to get tossed around by the wind which isn't true for heavy bikes that are more stable on the ground. 3. when u go around turns its a lot easier for the bike to slip under u 4. heavier bikes are easier to control and more comfortable

@TimHaskins click the little CC so it turns red (if it isnt allready) next to where it shows the quality of the video then hover your pointer over the cc and a menu should pop up and then click transcribe audio
