  • What if you don't have the photo that you want in iPhoto like its just in a separate folder or just loose on the desktop? Why does it only let you me choose from iPhoto & PhotoBooth (oh & I know its older, but I'm stuck using iMovie '09 for now)??

  • @QUIZFILTER you cn just drag and drop from that folder into iMovie

  • What if you don't have the photo that you want in iPhoto like its just in a separate folder or just loose on the desktop? Why does it only let you me choose from iPhoto & PhotoBooth??

  • HI there... I would like to have my photos displayed in a certain order. Someone told me about Bridge and that is the Application how I organized the images. Any tips on how to use Bridge instead of Iphoto? I have a Mac computer.

    Thanks!

  • Cool, thanks for the tutorial. Will come in handy for my wedding slideshow.

I was wondering, is there a way to mix a video in there too?

  • I'm new to this, and I thought it was illegal to use music from itunes for your background music on youtube?

  • @lauramapchick i believe it is not if you credit the artist

(ex. on my vid i typed in the description: "song: please don't go by barcelona" and so, when i uploaded the video, on the side, there was a link to iTunes store for that song.)

  • nice screensaver

  • Just a tip... i tried doing this for my second slideshow and it wouldn't let me use the markers!!! Every clip was just 4s long. So make sure you select View, and Snap to Beats (command U) otherwise the clips will only be 4s segments. Thanks!!!!!!

  • @IMdrummerTab thanks alot !

  • Nice Wallpaper?

  • Thank you so much man, come look at what i made with it and tell me if you like the music, im trying to get big!

  • Please disregard my last message. I upgraded to iLife '11 and it all works smooothly.

  • I'm having a problem. When i go to drag and drop my photo event from iPhoto over the music file, the Add Stills window drops down like normal and says 'adding 24 stills to project' but nothing happens. It seems to freeze but not iMovie entirely, it's strange. And when i click cancel on the Add Stills window, nothing happens. I'm forced to quit and restart the program. Any idea what could be wrong? It's iMovie '09 version 8.0.6. on Snow Leopard 10.6.6. Thanks a lot and very well done tutorial.

  • Thanks!!

  • You really just made my day much better by making me hate iMovie a LOT less.

  • i want to upload a music track on youtube.. which basically is a single picture with background music. but imovie wont let me do this.. or maybe i dont know how. i imported the song and the picture but the song only plays for about 4 seconds and then it stops. how can i make the song play all the way to the end?

  • can you do that making it without stills? I'm making a music video, but it wont let me import into imovie b/c it is all movies... Not stills...

  • can we do this at imovie 7.1.4?

  • hiya, this is great thanks - when i add all the photos i want it cuts the mp3's length down, how can i get the track to run through maybe repeating the photos? i have put markers althroughout the mp3 already. thanks

  • Very helpful! Thank you...

  • hi, you seem very knowledgeable regarding imovie. this video was especially helpful. is there a way to create the order of photos FIRST and then do the same thing with timing of music? and....do you have any videos showing how to use multiple songs in the same slideshow. i am making a residency graduation slideshow and would love to make it totally awesome. thanks!

  • @zgilliank I too would like to know how to use multiple songs and to trim those songs. Did he ever respond to you? Thanks!

  • Thanks! :-)

  • Excellent Tutorial. Do they have something like iMovie for the PC?
