The first time I looked at Harry's face and he spoke in Voldemort's (and his) voice, I don't know why but I had a flashback of that little girl from 'The Exorcist.' I liked Dan in this scene. He redeems himself from the sirius death scene reaction before. Gosh that was cringeworthy.

anyway. the music is what gets me in this scene. it's so emotional. And when dumbledore says "it isn't how you are alike..." that's when i start tearing.

Mind you Dan's acting, Dumbledores reaction and the music are all that i like about it. Voldemort just made me laugh and Emma is so bad, SO bad, at trying to act compassionate or sad. She makes me cringe a lot when she tries.

almostlover07, voldemort doesn't kill people straight away, he tends to make them suffer,and drags things out before he finally kills them. He was also weakened because of trying to possess harry and the remorse harry felt for sirius death, we really is harrys love for sirius, aswell as his freinds, because the one thing voldemort could not understand, and that affected him is love. (for instance, why he couldn't kill harry in the first place)

i love how this scene was done its so emotional, its like emotion salad really. Voldemort didn't kill harry because he wants Harry to suffer. He wants him to feel pain and make him beg...be completely defenceless. In essence he wants the perfect kill. I understand Voldemort's past is was troubled..and in a way he wants his victims to suffer like he did. Harry is a special case because Harry caused him the most suffering..therefore..Harry was to suffer more before they finally ended it in book 7.
