I admit, I'm a Duke fan that goes against the grain. I liked Coy & Vance and thought their storylines were great. I hated to see them go. But, Bo and Luke got back to basics, in the sixth season.

@landrykkb Not that sharp an eye? I caught it first time in the theatre when I watched it. Mayer was the pool man Jennifer Tilly (Mrs. Cole) was cheating on her husband with and Jim Carrey (Fletcher) grills him on the stand in court and almost kills the divorce case of his client.

Coy & Vance weren't as bad as everybody seems to suggest,although the chances of them having similar hair colors and mannerisms of Bo and Luke respectively were next to inconceivable.It's certainly no fault of Byron Cherry or Christopher Meyer's,that's for sure!

Actually I preferred Cletus over Enos. Enos was just an idiot. At least Cletus was funny and being Boss' cousin made for some interesting situations. Besides Enos' voice drove me nuts.

I can understand why people did not take to the new "cousins" because once you get use to the first people it is difficult to move beyond that.For me I still liked Bo and Luke but I really thought that Coy and Vance brought something new and fresh to the show.

@jonnstoffer Yeah, I liked them and it made the return of Bo and Luke boost the ratings (because you are right, people just got attatched to Bo and Luke) but I will always like Bo and Luke more. I felt bad for Chris and Byron, they weren't really accepted, but you also couldn't blame John and Tom... after a while, having to turn down other roles, sacrafice lives to star in a show, you deserve more. Execs should have seen that(then Coy and Vance could have come in as guests and not replacements)

I know Cherry and Mayer get a lot of flak, but the other angle is that without them, the show would have stopped till Wopat and Schneider's pay disputes were settled. They weren't bad actors, but the studio execs kept getting them to walk and stand like the originals, which would hamper anyone's performance.

@luciremagazine I agree and there were just getting started and were very green. Cherry still had some work but Mayer was getting better in my opinion. Actually had Wopat and Schneider not came back the show was gonna be cancelled al together.
