@henrypratt2001 You are so right. The Warriors, or LOD, really lacked the sense of danger and menace they had in the NWA when they went to the WWF. They were real bad asses in the NWA even when they were the faces! But then when they turned heel and won the tag titles in Oct. 1988, wow! They became ruthless once again! Awesome times back then.
@rockonallnight I agree! They were like a couple of goons from the biker bar up the street from the arena lol! I remember lod and rhodes were the six-man tag champs and i kinda remember an incident when lod jabbed one of those spikes from their shoulder pads in rhodes eye! I was just a kid and it was pretty crazy to me as a child lol. Rhodes was bleeding, lod was ruthless. I cant find the vid on u-tube and no1 else really seems to remember the incident either. does any1 remember this incident?
@tonypanz Dusty took a severe penalty for that one as TV execs warned him about doing the spot. I found the video you were referring to: It was quite graphic to people watching in the studio and later showings obscured the image for the audience. This one shows it in its entirety, I only have a VHS copy.

@darkmagickian Yeah he got in trouble, think he actually got fired. On TBS wresting Sat night, he took the warriors spike off the shoulder pad, and dug it in the eye
I thought the disqualification rule was waived in this match?????

Uh, steel chairs don't bounce like that, JR. That chair was plastic.

I can't understand why Dusty smacked the referee during the match.

Loved how all the old Crockett NWA crowds would go "OOHH!!", "OOHH!", "OOHH!" with every big punch or move

@Mp25DIII like the japanese crowds and "uwaaaagh!!"
bladestormviking 8 months ago
@Mp25DIII The NWA Crockett crowds were the best. They were more emotionally involved than the WWF crowds.

@Mp25DIII That's them old school rowdy southern crowds! Memphis was like that too, especially with Lawler's punches.

Now that was The Road Warriors, forget the watered down version of them, The
Legion of Doom.( Even though they were also called that before.) That was the
NWA, the best promotion besides the original UWF in America.
