I think Re-defining fashion is a talent. :] Betty may not have been a proffessional Actress or dancer, but she did them decently enough for the videos to sell during her time and to put Marilyn Monroe to shame.

But she was amazing at everything she did! She's one of my biggest idols!

I can't say I noticed the microphone or boom shadow or anything else when Page was onscreen. Her voice was as lovely as the rest of her. So odd that one reason that she couldn't get cast in mainstream studio films was her refusal to sleep her way in, which was and probably more or less remains the custom. Page was easily one of the most beautifully appealing women who ever lived.

Live burlesque shows had stupid characters like these guys appearing onstage, interspersed with strippers. They were called "baggy-pants comedians" by critics. Striptease films like this one used the same line-up, so you have to wait through trash like this act before you get to see the gals.

And unlike some others, I think that's Bettie's real voice. I don't think this grade-Z film could've afforded to dub her, technically.

I'm actually questioning if that's her voice at all. Bettie didn't have her voice filmed because she had an atrocious Southern accent and the studio was a bit embarassed by it. It wasn't uncommon to do voice-overs in that age, but I honestly don't know about this video. It just seems strange she has no accent here at all.

I think it is her for two reasons. First, her voice is low in this, and its gotten lower in her old age (as is true with most women). Second, she is speaking very briefly in a spirit-like voice. Not too hard to hide her accent in this role.

you can see the boom microphone shadow...the 'graphics' are the something weird production logo...I have heard about this, and heard the audio elsewhere, for a long time. Bettie Page gave interviews, but for a long time, stated no photos because she wanted to be remembered for how she was. Her voice now, before she died, you can't imagine. However, she did consent to have a photo taken with PAM ANDERSON & ANNA NICOLE SMITH, which is posted online and can be found easy, when she was 80.
