It's obvious. Kenzo noticed something wrong with Akiyama's Gi, with just a single grasp. It's very similar to what happened in Sakuraba's match. This is NOT a problem of nationality, but is a problem on Akiyama's PERSONALITY; Habit of CHEATING. He cheated in both Judo and MMA. Only if he fought without CHEATING, he would never be HATED like this. Look at other Korean MMA fighters, or athletes in other sports. IT IS ONLY AKIYAMA, WHO IS HATED THIS MUCH.

Did it seem like he was "greased" every time he fought? I would think ref and other staff members would check before each fight beforehand. I agree that he "greased" himself against Sakuraba. Sakuraba is one of my all time favorites and I don't like the fact that he got shit beaten out of him that way. However, I don't mind giving a decent fighter another chance once he has apologized for his actions. I just hate all these self-righteous D-bags who act like they never done something wrong.

The truth is Akiyama's gi is not the problem. The Gi was tested after this and other controversial fights and they found nothing wrong. It is the lotion he puts on his arms (for dry skin problems) that became the problem. The fight before Sakuraba, you can see Akiyama put the lotions on his arms. poor guy, wish he didn't have this skin problem. Maybe its time to stop drinking too much saki! LOL!
