Yes, there are some hard core 'cannon' fans who insist on all the above mentioned pairings. Everything else is crack in their eyes. XD

(But I do have to agree, aside from some slightly debatable moments shared between Balthier and Ashe - your pairing profile is usually the way I go.)

I've heard it called 'the cookie cutter pattern' because it's the 'safest' grouping - but one of the things I loved about XII is that it made ANY pairing seem plausible.

(And I must admit, I am forever torn between Larsa x Penelo and Vaan x Penelo - I think it really just depends on what mood I'm in, and since I'm a young hormonal female, these preferences change constantly.)
