Oddly enough, hardbossa's comment comes on the eve of the second Alpert/Hall album release, and,no,this one missed the cut once again. My take on it is that they pretty much avoid "modern"songs on the albums("Moondance" and a couple of Beatle songs on the new one seems to be as far as they push it,and they are over 40 years ago)which is kinda strange 'cause you would think a song like this might straddle both generations and bring them together.
As much as I enjoy the current tour and album, this is the Lani I really want to hear. Songs that have not been done 1,000s of times,or been defined by Sinatra. Songs in need of wider recognition, which still meet her qualifications(gleaned from recent interviews)of being positive and melodic. Herb takes a back seat, here, and that is a good thing. Her solo albums are quality, but choice of material has always been a problem. Lani Hall-what a talent also deserving wider recognition!
I've seen Chicago (the band) twice but if only...other than going back in time and seeing Harry James this is one concert date I am truly poor for not seeing.
It's so great to see them together, again. Thanks for posting. I was blessed to see them about almost a year ago at Blues Alley in Georgetown, DC. What a chance of a lifetime.
Terrific, great band, and a wonderful lovely couple. I can't get enough of them!

AWESOME! HERB, I've learned sooooo much from you, I'm a fellow trumpeter. You are still inspiring even at 75!

@jimac51 agree 100%. I am wondering why they didn't include this wonderful track in their CD.

Classic! Herb Alpert & Miss Lani Hall singing the Corinne Bailey Rae's song Like A Star!

I just saw them four days ago at the Dakota in Minneapolis. One can't express in words how completely perfect these two are.
