  • This video, which is a part of the documentary “God grew tired of us”, is really interesting because it portrays the big difference between cultures (in this case between the Sudan’s and the American’s culture). By watching this video, we can easily be aware of these differences and it teaches us to be more tolerant concerning other people.

  • I went to america once and I feel the same that people dont talk and I also entered the gate of an american who was going yo his car I asked him excuse me I am looking for a street numbered ,,, and the american man shout at me get out of my property and dont make me draw my gun he said this without looking at me I satid ok sorry to alarm you It is just I am visiting and cannot find the same street ,,, the man took a pistol gun and pointed it at mu face so I walked away saying you are crazy man!

  • In Newfoundland Canada the doors are not locked in a snow storm you could get up in the morning and you could have someone sleeping on your couch who never made it through the snow and then you would get up and make them breakfast...once a man was going to the bank in Canada and the bag blew opened and all of his money was blowing down the street he yelled for help and everyone picked it up he was not missing even 1 dollar...That is Canadian white culture..we are friendly down here! continued

  • @lucy9359 If you pass someone in the street they greet you I also think that some parts of America are like this...we are all friendly where I live I don't find Toronto friendly however or Alberta, they seem llike Red Knecks, racist there....

  • man whats with that fuckin old redneck at 2:06 glaring at them like they just raped his wife when all there doing is standing there, it would be bad enuff if he did it for a second when hes walkin by but hes standing still not moving just staring at them, didnt his bitch of a mother tell him its rude 2 stare? And i had 2 laugh when they were on the plane and one of them ate the little butter block whole haha, they should of told them its made for spreading on bread not eating like that!!

  • can anyone please send me the link to the whole documentary ? thanks id really appreciate it

  • @TheAnswerIverson3 search God Grew Tired of Us.

  • @TheAnswerIverson3 the documentary is called god grew tired of us. If you do a google search you could probably find it

  • 2:15 i ask myself that question every christmas

  • Very interesting

  • I Saw This In Class(:

  • THERE ARE WHITES INDIANS BLACKS PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES IN COUNTRIES LIKE BOTSWANA AND AFRICA. PEOPLE COME FROM AROUND THE WORLD TO OPEN BUSINESSES AND MAKE MONEY FOR A BETTER LIFE

  • 2.05 whats that guys fuckin problem!

  • YOU DUMB STUPID AMERICANS IM FROM AFRICA AND I HAVE EATEN AND SEEN THE SAME THINGS IN U.S.A IN FACT WE HAVE MCDONALDS KFC. WE HAVE BIG MALLS BIG CITIES CARS BIG HOUSES WE HAVE EVERYTHING YET YOU DECIDE TO DEGRADE AFRICA AND MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A POOR DARK PLACE AND ALL AFRICANS ARE BLACK WELL IM NOT BLACK YET I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN BOTSWANA AFRICA IT IS VERY MODERN IN AFRICA THERE ARE EVEN PEOPLE IN AMERICA WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT A COMPUTER IS THERE ARE POOR AMERICANS BUT YOU WON'T SEE THAT

  • @isaaccontractor excuse me but uhh hello? this video is not degrading africa its educating everyone on the culture there? and we never said africa was all black? oh and also we never said you didnt have big malls or mcdonalds but you know what we all do have skin blood and bones ok so get over yourself BOTH countrys were all the same species. HUMAN. so stop hating eachother. damn.

  • @decccamakeup the video is depicting something that does not exist and is just to brainwash IGNORANT americans into thinking Africa is like the lion king and we don't know what a t.v is or a building. GO AND SEE THE DIFFERENT COUNTRIES IN AFRICA WITH YOUR OWN EYES NOT SOME FAKE SHIT ON NAT GEO

  • @isaaccontractor Wow dude, don't get your panties in a bunch. Just because YOU have lived in an area in Africa that has more modern accommodations does not mean that EVERYONE in Africa has. Those individuals may not have experienced those things. It would be like taking a native from any tribe in the world and bringing them here. It isn't to disrespect Africa, it is to show some African natives who have not seen what you or I have something new.

  • haha did he tell the kids fuck you at the end ?4:58

  • 4:28 summarizes US higher education. the so-called "Third-World" Studies

  • We take in tens of thousands of these tribalists a year, give them free welfare, and then they breed and rape like crazy. It needs to stop.

  • @Theblizzardking yeah i agree with u ! i really respect america for that its really hard to take in refugees !.

the problem with these people is they are not EDUCATED ! , they should actually take some short courses about life style ..etc

  • @DadizTV both of you sound like paranoid jackass's

most refugee's who come to america, actually make a effort to become Americanized and are a good part of society.

  • @keepitmovingish yes for sure thats true !! but im talking about the majority of them they rape , the rob blah blah blah ! , and no one can blame them because they came from a war zone or .....etc !

and please no need for such words !! :)

  • @Theblizzardking You obviously didn't watch this movie. These men are all extremely successful now after working shifts without transportation meaning that on top of the maximum work day, they had to wait outside factories for two hours before they opened. Besides, whatever happened to "Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free." I suppose America isn't about freedom and a chance to be successful anymore is it, now that you got your own, right?

  • I am a foreigner myself and I found the same solitude here aswell. The majority have huge self estem issues, and here in America we value outgoing, confident people. But for some reason everybody is scared. Maybe because they are terrorized by they're own system. I see a false believe that they have freedoms but they give liberty away and got false security. We are all one.

  • Locals: OH SHIT it's a small group of foreigners! THEY'LL STEAL EVERYTHING

  • @BecomingAdrian "small group of blacks" that's what they really meant to say

  • i had to laugh when the man said he didn't like the airplane food. nobody likes airplane food :D at a base level... we all aren't that different from each other.

  • @mznoconsequence

    its a universal truth lol

  • haha they will rape the shit out of everybody - thats cultural difference for you dumb yanks

  • @ThomasRowsell diversity is racial and cultural suicide

  • @MrDonneiDarko

    No, that's ignorance.

  • Only one that actually was pretty nice and welcoming to then was the children...

  • Embarassing to be American. Again.

  • @miriamkero no reason to feel embarrassed. there's unfriendly, stupid & ignorant people everywhere, not only in the US. also, the US has had a major role in the development of the civil rights movement, in international human rights movements, in medicine... its the most multicultural place in the world which, despite all its problems, is still something to boast about. there's room for improvement in the US, but for everywhere else too.

  • people keep in mind that Africa has some of the larges and oldes cities. I'm not sure why the media loves to portray Africa as bush. Mabee It's because Westerners RELY on technology instead of choosing it at will.

  • The first thing he said is that "the food is not as good" . How can any place be good without good food? the foundation of life...

  • us people are so pathetic....is disturbing

  • They should've come to Norway :D

  • SO-DO-YOU-HA-VE-MO-RE-LI-BER-TY-HERE-?

They speak english you racist redneck shit

  • Wow, seems like they were happier in Sudan than they are in US.

  • YES! they haven't been tainted by the faggotry of the united states!! all americans are all faggots. well, i guess you can say that americans like... rely on machines and stuff too much. they don't rely on each other and only care about themselves. like me :D

  • "That is Santa Claus , Its Santa Claus , and how does it connect with the birth of Jesus Christ ?" Excellent question

  • HE ATE THE BUTTER HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • this is actually very very sad. and i feel ashamed that most of these people have to life under horrible humanunworthy conditions

  • 0:56 that dude with white Tee is the most successful. 2nd is the big dude.

  • Dumb bitch: "Do you have a lot of freedoms here that you didn't have?"

    Two guys: "Nah"

    Dumb bitch: "Yeah"

  • @TarsusBucs so fake and so cookie-cutter.. I know I do not like the way that women speaks with them, like they are ...a different species, or children, more so, she doesn't even listen to them

  • @TarsusBucs Yeah, I'm sure they could go into any shop with as many friends as they wanted in Sudan

  • So the store owners saw a group of black men walking around and assumed they were trying to steal stuff. Real nice.

  • The Gods must be crazy!

  • This video was not produced by National Geographic. It is a clip from the documentary "God Grew Tired of Us"

  • these men show us, a "civilized", urban people how broken we are. and that bitch in the pool? hilarious. and shameful. "america gives you a lot of freedom". she never had a tiniest piece of freedom those black men have.

  • Everyone in Sudan can speak english? but they know nothing about american culture. Lol?

  • Comment removed

  • @ijustwannasomename Nope just these ones

  • @ijustwannasomename Are you stupid? First off all English is from ENGLAND, not AMERICA. Second of all they might not have gone to school. Third off all, america is NOT THE ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. So tired of people getting supriced when someone doesn't know anything about America when most Americans don't know shit about any other country then their own and those that they've been at war with.

  • @ijustwannasomename and you dont know nothing about anything.LOL

  • @nickodemo1 Dont need to try to make funny comment when you believe such fakes.

  • Is this a show?

If so is it on Netflix? I'd really love to see it. thanks for the upload!

  • @SpaceNTime77 SICO

  • @SpaceNTime77 YES ive seen it there. its also available for streaming just search it. God Grew Tired of US.

  • @forgethefancyname thank you very much!

  • 0:40 all i can say

  • Everyone should live in its natural environment. But there are tourists, travelers; invaders and barbarians; refugees and emigrants. This things stir up human mass and give birth to new interesting forms of life.

  • in the end it sounds like he says fuck you 4:58

  • They advised the boys not to travel in groups?!!! What the fuck? Seriously...I am sorry have the police in that town now not heard of the goddamn constitution. If the police officers advised me to that I can not assemble in a group I would tell them right where they can go. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble

  • @TatersBD Dude, maybe you haven't really lived outside the city or in the South or in a rural area, but Constitution be damned, everyone has huge prejudices about black people in those areas.

  • 3:49 It is a shame... It is...

  • Comment removed

  • Their ability to speak English is far better than my ability to speak any other language other than...

  • This highlights our ignorance of Sudan. Who knows what its like to live in Sudan? Other than when our media can be bothered to report from there? It can't be that bad in Sudan (or it cant have too much oil) otherwise we would have invaded right?

  • @nichotom ;(

  • @nichotom Actually, we only invade countries under the facade of helping oppressed civilians. If we cared about oppressed civilians, we would have started in certain Sub-Saharan African countries years ago.

  • What an obnoxious woman, talking about 'freedoms' at 4:28. As if she could even find Sudan on a globe

  • @possibledrew lol pissed me off too, what freedom?

  • They should have come to Canada.

  • Jesus they're Sudanese and they're shit talking OUR hospitality. We got a lot to learn.

  • Are you guys retarded? Yeah, the "Freedom" lady at the swimming pool is an idiot, and life in the US is far from perfect, but these guys are coming from SUDAN! You know, the country that has had two civil wars in the last 50-60 years, and has had a huge humanitarian crisis with the Darfur conflict (which was caused by its "Arab Apartheid"). Get real, people, there's no more living from the earth in Sudan (which is probably why these guys are coming to the US).

  • @MrDamienivan You actually seem to be the uneducated one. Sudan is a very fertile land that grows lots of food. Unfortunately, war has made them unable to live there. Without political strife and rebellion and violence, their country would probably be much more suitable to them than ours. How are people not getting that?

  • A few years ago, I had a chance to interact with someone from rural South Korea who was new to the United States. His English was extremely limited, more so than these rather eloquent guys, and his cultural familiarity was roughly as limited as these guys. I spent hours a day for weeks simply answering every question he had and helping him with his language, as we were new co-workers. That experience was valuable for him, but very valuable for me, too.

I wish other Americans would do this.

  • @tsdvideos Good job.

  • This clip is from the documentary "God Grew Tired of Us" about a group of Sudanese Lost Boys brought to live in the US

  • Wow.

I think it's always amazing to see how vastly different cultures are.

And Sudan sounds like a country with greater freedom.

  • i was fkin crakinup cuz at dee end it sounded like he said fk u to the kid but i know he didnt :D i wannalearn more aboutmy culture :D

  • wtf, freedom???!!!! that woman is stiupid or awhat ???

  • @cal352

  • @stasbis9

  • Respect

  • can someone make me transcript of what the lady said at 3:59, i dont understand this sentence. Thank you so much

  • @Svktube7 "Merchants in Daniel and Panther's neighborhoods have filed complaints with the local police in Pittsburgh. They feel intimidated by the boys entering their stores in large numbers, so a meeting was called to advise the boys not to travel in groups."

  • Freedom? WTF? some United States ppl, all you think is yourselves and your freedom... not meant to offend, but it's offensive when people talk about that. (some in USA would slave the world to be free)

If you're not one of them this is not meant for you, so don't argue. If you are, then i'm right.

    shame on pool lady

    I mean seriously?

@Cal352 you're clearly an asshole, i don't even have to look at you. Hater

  • airplane food here tastes worse than soap.

  • 4:30 Do you have a lot of freedom? .......... seriously?

  • @MrPyro27 You are clearly african.

  • they have a sense of humor.

  • Comment removed

  • @joespeed1875 tasteless...

  • @joespeed1875 lmfao!!!!!

  • Is the voice-over Nicole Kidman?

  • lol it's plane food. Some of the worse shit in the world.

  • umm..why this guy to my house? ...i dont know him.

  • @Igman2020 Then why leave?

  • i cant stop thinking the guy who keeps speaking sounds like Abe from Abe's Odyssey?

  • Very interesting video, ignorance sometimes is a bliss

  • "Now I'm gettin ya" lol

  • the county advised them to not travel together? What The Fuck. this makes me ashamed to be an American. limiting people's ability to congregate, limiting social interaction, giving the impression that they may cause harm while in a group. I would feel compelled to ask them if they feel 'more free' here than they did back in there home country. sure we have lots of 'things' and services they did not but things are not freedom.

  • @INCC74656I

I went to Minneapolis once and we were traveling in a group, just walking around. Most people would stare at us and when we went to store, the guy working there was practically shaking and afraid of us, he kept asking us "Where is you car?". Like it's something out of the ordinary to travel without a car....

And we are European, I wonder what the guy would have done if we were black...

  • @lokarn i happen to love in st. paul. i cant say this surprises me. i think this Minnesota nice people talk about is bull shit. most people here are no more or less 'nice' than anywhere else. I also spent a little over a year in spokane wa. people out there in general were more willing to help and less eager to take everything they can from you.

  • @INCC74656I Completely agree. The problem is, us Americans are such assholes that people are "flash robbing" and garbage like that, on top of already outdated cultural biases. It's a sad, sad state we're all living in.

  • God Grew Tired of us

  • Wow. Airplane food is so shitty even people who've never used electricity think it tastes like shit.

  • @Jewzilian To be fair, he was eating the butter by itself.

  • superb english BROS

  • "God Grew Tired of Us" is the name of the movie this came from.

  • I don't know about anyone else, but I understood them perfectly without subtitles..

  • Why are we importing them here?

  • Comment removed

  • What show is this from?

  • Why send Africans to America? America is extremely racist.

  • @Bletzkarn Black President -> Racist... Okay...

I feel sorry for people that are so simple minded they have to paint with such broad strokes.

  • @o0soda0o

What? Racism still exists, and I'm surrounded by it. America is racist. Ignorant. Soft.

  • @Lockey157 Thanks for reenforcing my assertion.

I never said racism doesn't exist, only that simple minded individuals, such as yourself, are unable to separate the sentiment of individuals from that of a nation.

I'm not racist, nor is anyone I associate with.

  • @Bletzkarn a lot of people from Africa and other countries have great work ethic

also i heard that most Africans can learn faster then most Americans (this might not be true but i have heard it many times) so at least we could give them a better life here and they will be smart enough to not be around racists

  • @nucca35 Blacks, whites, yellows and every other colour in the spectrum are equally adept at learning. It's as simple as that.

  • @docomoface well since i am pretty sure you did not research it at all i am not sure i believe you..

i cannot say that all races are the same because obviously there not, black people don't wrinkle as much as white people.....so whats not to say its not true

  • I LOVE how they pointed out how anti-social our culture is! We've become so individualized, it really is sad

  • rofl annoying pool lady. yep.

  • Anyone listen at the end when he's explaining how Sudan is entirely black and someone says "They'll get ya!"

  • @jimiforpres They said "now we get ya" as in now we understand you...

  • @jimiforpres "ohhh, now we get ya"

  • @jimiforpres Haha.. fail. That is not what they said at all.

  • @Jackal858 what'd they say then?

  • @jimiforpres As several other people have already commented, they said "now we get ya", as in, "now we understand you".

  • omg he hit right on the nail. when he said " how does santa claus connect with the birth of jesus christ" lol

  • @cydis Giving subtitles when they're speaking English, THATS racist.

Hey wasn't that on futurama or something? Anyway.

  • @Rybread34 They have thick accents, It helps watchers to follow along.

  • @cydis how is that racist stupid???

  • What's that bitch talking about? Maybe she didn't mean it to sound like she's talking down to them, but why do so many Americans think they have the monopoly on this "Freedom" that they constantly bitch about/worry is being taken away from them? I had WAY more freedom in Spain (in the sense of being able to do whatever the fuck one wants within the bounds of the law) than I do in the US.

  • @gdaym8sydney As an American, I completely agree with you. Unfortunately, "patriotism", here in the US, often connotes ignorance. People don't realize that we're giving up a lot of rights in order to live in a "free" society. Defeats the purpose of freedom.

  • Do you like the freedom you have here. Freedom to not go to a shop with your friends.

  • They are us, we are them. Let's treat them with respect, and not be so self centered...AMERICA.

  • The soap he is talking about, is butter.

  • @TimTehPilot

oh shit thanks for clearing that up

  • funny how we Americans managed to alienate ourselves from each other...and it wasnt like that before...

  • next experiment: put them in the hood

  • bongo bongo king of the Congo

  • Annoying pool lady, stop ranting about freedom... I get that it's just an innocent question, but phrased so wrong. Besides, living in simple houses, living from the earth under a blue sky sounds more like freedom to me, rather than being a slave to government and corporates. We are slaves under daily routines and do not necessarily OWN freedom any more than poor people from Sudan.

  • @iSometimesWriteMusic seriously...soon as i heard her saying hows the freedom? got more of it here than you did over there? i was pissed

jesus christ, she doesnt MEAN to be condescending and on a high horse, but its so bred into her that its natural. thats what happens to us western civilization guys, our views on so many things from lifestyle to homes to social interaction becomes skewed

  • @iSometimesWriteMusic Only we're not starving and dying of disease by 35.

  • @DomineAstronome Hmm, i wonder why there are food shortages and death from disease in Africa? Who took away their natural existence? Even so, I'd rather live 35 years in Africa than 100 years in America.

  • @mrRnf11

You definitely would not, don't even lie.

  • @HazzJam Actually i would, if i had the means to. Thank you very much.

  • @iSometimesWriteMusic It's a question that I got asked a lot too. I come from an Arab country also (such as Sudan). And I found it to be a very degrading question...It made me angry inside.
