have seen them 5 times, but not for years. once, i saw them three nights in a row at maple leaf gardens (what a horrible venue for sound), around xmas/new years, if remaining brain cells serve me correctly, 1978. good ole toronto boys. where was this concert?
This performance was definitely at the SARSFEST held outside Toronto in 2003 AND THE ROLLING STONES headlined with the most diverse cast of performers, not the least of which were AC/DC, The Isley Brothers, The Guess Who, several local Canadian acts I am afraid I can not recall and, lastly, an unusual performer who seemed out of place, Justin Timberlake(?).
Washing machine: Alex said: "Look at my new rig!" (H&K) -about this time Geddy was running direct and didn't have anything behind him. So he got two dryers and put Free Rush T-shirts in them and threw them out occasionally.
thats sarsfest a few years back, i was there, rush only played like 40 minutes, open with tom sayer i believe, 1/2 million people stones headlined, a two day show and tickets were 10 bucks
Great performance. Classic rock all the way in the opinion of one who saw some of the big bands of the early ca. 1969-72 - e.g., Led Zeppelin; The Who; Emerson, Lake and Palmer; Jethro Tull, Mountain.
I like the song and the vid and all, but they should have known theywere playing to a young audiience! Anything from the 90's album would have been better! Driven, maybe? I would have gone with Stick it Out for sure. Great vid.
@ bassm29, that looks like a PRS.
