this may be stupid, but to make an Utau.. do you have to speak/ read japanese? even to make an english one?

@JustAskJane Not necessarily. To make an UTAU that speaks English might require some understanding of how UTAU works and a bit of free time.

However to make a Japanese UTAU, you should familiarize yourself with pronunciations, especially with the Japanese 'r' and the vowels.

She sounds good, especially for an utau, which usually sounds terrible. The only problem is she says "TOE-HEE" at the beginning instead of "tooi". she pronounced that word very wrong haha

@SuperOuranFangirl2 Actually, that was my fault, I put in "tohi" because I was stupid and didn't bother to check the lyrics when I entered them and by the time I figured it out, I lost the UST because my hard drive crashed :( . Also there are many excellent sounding UTAU, you're just not looking hard enough. :)

And I've heard lots of utauloids and they're just not as smooth as vocaloids, but i understand the system is difficult to use at best. But I'm sure there are some good ones.

@SuperOuranFangirl2 you can get UTAU at utau2008.xrea.jp and it some aspects it's a little difficult. You have to be familiar with Japanese IME (typing in Japanese on an English Keyboard) and how to change the system locale to Japanese (there is a way to change the language to English, but the PC still won't be able to recognize Japanese characters, so I recommend either both or the first choice). Previewing the sound can also take a while

There's a res on utau wiki that converts the utau program to english.Also you can get romaji voicebanks so that you don't need to type in japanese

I only said calm down cuz you were attacking me, but that's all over with and it's totally fine. I really didn't mean to offend, i just have never found any utau that i really liked, aside from this one. And truthfully, i only like this song because other songs i've heard from yami didn't sound great to me. That doesn't mean i'm not looking hard enough, it just means i don't particularly like utaus.
