  • Excellent instruction there, very informative without dragging on. Very good explanation of why not to stretch when clipping, as well as why not to use teeth to hold rope for extended reaches.

    I'd only add it's worth demonstrating different clipping techniques such as thumb backclipping (which I personally find much easier).

  • @fearthespeed great for beginners - cant screw it up, but it can be impossible to untie if you take a fall. At some point beginners are going to get sick of getting to the top and being unable to untie because they got too pumped while working a route

  • Good video, only thing I would say to viewers is to NEVER tie in with a bowline, double bowline, or any variation thereof. Figure eight retie is the way to go.

  • @fearthespeed agreed. especially if you're teaching that to beginners. figure 8 probably the most important, easiest and strongest knots in climbing.
