depends on where u stay. more than likely u will be in barracks for a little while, then u can get off base housing and he can move in with u. for example in CT we has to finish our first school (2 months it took) than u could move off base with ur husband/wife
well im out of the navy. and just warning u that conneticut sucks. and if u hook up with any girls wrap it. so many rules on base too. if u can id try switching ur rate. subs arent good if u want to see the world. and depending on what sub u end up on u could be under water for months at a time, only coming up to periscope depth every so often to send emails and what not

my contract was 5 years. all submarine ones are. im done with the navy for good. after 4 years your put on inactive reserve or something for 4 years. only to be called in incase of war pretty much. not matter what it will equal 8. (5 years active, 3 inactive)
navy boot camp is as hard as your RDC's make it. My Navy boot camp was hell on earth because my RDC's were ruthless, buff korean guys who were master at arms and had already served tours in iraq.
looking further into RTC. the places that other recruits did not see during training. because they didnt have the balls to speak up to walk outside, being afraid of getting a street hit. makes me greatful just being sane after it.
it's true that boot camp is easy. but have you seen all the separated recruits that didnt pass. the people who got sent home, because for stupid reasons, or their brain couldnt handle being intimated by their RDC's
i took care of those sorry asses that couldnt make it. watching them for several hours, listening to their bull shit, because of why they are getting sent home and looking out after the sailors that i was with, just to be safe of the rejects to not jump as at night.

not in barracks. as far as i know they keep barracks seperate from male and females. but on a boat im not sure. and u can always sneak one in if u know how.
In the barracks depending on if your division is integrated or not, you can get into the empty compartments and go into the laundry room and go at it. But then again you don't have to be integrated to do it though. If you can pick em up then go to the laundry!

dude, believe me, you haven't seen the bullshit yet. a-school and c-school are cake, the fleet is filled with so much more bullshit that you can't stack. check out the video "line shack fun", it shows my work center in VFA-125 in Lemoore, CA. but I hear you're already out, but still check out the video!
and i do believe that, the rate you choose depends on your experience, so choose wisely. DO NOT SETTLE FOR A RATE. i suggest surface ships after experiencing what subs has to entail at least a little bit. surface ships u get to go to more ports. the bigger the ship the less ports u can go to (ie carriers)
Depends on what job you have in the navy, if you are a pilot i can tell you boy do they push you. Physicals every month and if you aren't in shape you cant fly. So it really depends on what job you have

YOU are right Boot Camp isn't hard at all. It's a cake walk, but there is a lot of people who have a tough time because they don't prepare enough(LAZINESS), but once you are in it's FUN! OBVIOUSLY YOU KNOW THAT ALREADY!

i expected different things is all. but anyway, have fun on subs, thats what i was gonna be doin. thankfully i didnt. hopefully ur not put on a sub that only stops at a few ports a year

take this seriously..dont go as a ms...you are not a COOK like they say..you are a slave...it absolutely sucks..dont believe me..try it. I was in 4 years. that is about the worst job you can have..and then on that..you are going on a sub? hahaha good luck..never see the sun, smmmaallllll passways...etc..dont do it!! serious! it is not like a regular cook like they tell you it is!

How many years did you sign up for the service contract?
You said you got a medical discharge? Are you still in the navy like once you get better they will take you back or are you out for good?
Oh and once your service is up are a free man? Cause I read that many people signed up for 4 years but are really there for 8.

my contract was 5 years. all submarine ones are. im done with the navy for good. after 4 years your put on inactive reserve or something for 4 years. only to be called in incase of war pretty much. not matter what it will equal 8. (5 years active, 3 inactive)

navy boot camp is as hard as your RDC's make it. My Navy boot camp was hell on earth because my RDC's were ruthless, buff korean guys who were master at arms and had already served tours in iraq.

looking further into RTC. the places that other recruits did not see during training. because they didnt have the balls to speak up to walk outside, being afraid of getting a street hit. makes me greatful just being sane after it.

it's true that boot camp is easy. but have you seen all the separated recruits that didnt pass. the people who got sent home, because for stupid reasons, or their brain couldnt handle being intimated by their RDC's
i took care of those sorry asses that couldnt make it. watching them for several hours, listening to their bull shit, because of why they are getting sent home and looking out after the sailors that i was with, just to be safe of the rejects to not jump as at night.

aight. i saw this before i went to boot camp. and here i am with other friends that passed a school and that crap and are in the fleet. dont listen to this bull shit. he's a fucking dirt bag. this right here is what we call hot garbage. he dislikes it because he didnt want the crap that they gave him so far. it depends of you.
buying a lot of crap with a low pay check. didnt basic training teach you about conserving money as well as fucking water. what the hell is wrong with you.

not in barracks. as far as i know they keep barracks seperate from male and females. but on a boat im not sure. and u can always sneak one in if u know how.

In the barracks depending on if your division is integrated or not, you can get into the empty compartments and go into the laundry room and go at it. But then again you don't have to be integrated to do it though. If you can pick em up then go to the laundry!

I was cheated out of my GMG3 (even thought I passed test etc.), since war was ending they didn't need us. Peace to all your family and buds

dude, believe me, you haven't seen the bullshit yet. a-school and c-school are cake, the fleet is filled with so much more bullshit that you can't stack. check out the video "line shack fun", it shows my work center in VFA-125 in Lemoore, CA. but I hear you're already out, but still check out the video!

and i do believe that, the rate you choose depends on your experience, so choose wisely. DO NOT SETTLE FOR A RATE. i suggest surface ships after experiencing what subs has to entail at least a little bit. surface ships u get to go to more ports. the bigger the ship the less ports u can go to (ie carriers)

Depends on what job you have in the navy, if you are a pilot i can tell you boy do they push you. Physicals every month and if you aren't in shape you cant fly. So it really depends on what job you have

You are going to learn to hate the navy. I'm glad to see with have the same views on bootcamp, it was too fucking easy. Just be glad you didn't have to go to Great Lakes A school,fuck that. Engineering are the worst rates in the navy. I wish I could go back and not sign my contract.
