I was amazed to see a comment about "how unfriendly, arrogant, etc. Norwegians are..." Here in my part of America I have only met a few Norwegians, but have found them to be friendly, even if they do sometimes seem a bit "cool" at first.

@biladd It's only our official written language 'bokmål' where we say 'jeg'. And many places around Oslo. However, in Northern Norway we say 'æ' and 'eg' :)
