Napleon was not France's best general. he was good but not unstopable. He plunged Europe into 2 wars. (or more) His campaigns killed millions. All for what. Now France is small. If he was a good General, he would have captured most of Europe and held it. I mean no offence to French citizens. This is my opion.

i learned that the British played bag pipes during their landings to increase their morale.. Bill Millin was one of their famous bag pipers. I thought he himself portrayed his character in the movie the "Longest Day". Still they changed history and their sacrifice help paid the way through for the defeat of facism/nazism during ww2.

well from sea it was hard because of the kepler affect where while the round was in the air the earth rotated and cause the shot to be ineffective

Don't forget about the 29th infantry at omaha as well as the 2nd and 5th ranger devisions.

Nice but they were two Infantry Divisions. 1st Infantry at Omaha and 4th at Utah. The Bombing runs failed horribly at Omaha. They used B-17s and most of the bombs fell short of the Beach. However, at Utah beach B-26 Mauraders were used so the bombing was much more efficent. The Canadian beach (Juno, was the worst for the British. Plus there was 3,000,000 service men were used for this Invasion. Other than that, not to bad.
