The famous bass line was John's idea Rog had to remind him of once they came back from Montreux city centre after dinner as Deacky forgot it in the meantime enjoying the meal whilst out there.

@LoreleiMission I think that there must have been some sort of copyright claim on Elmo (i.e. Tickle Me Elmo or something), because he is too big a character to have left out. They probably just filled in Kermit's image over Elmo's voice. Just a guess?
