  • we have the same pair of lovebird . how will i know if my lovebirds are matured?

  • @catdaddy1040 they can breed as soon as 6 months, but should be delayed to a year.

  • @catdaddy1040 it take about 1.5 to 2 years for them to mature. I'd recommend letting them get to 2 before you provide them a nest to lay eggs in. I made the mistake of letting my 1 year olds mate and i guess their instincts hadn't kicked in and they didn't know what to do with the hatchlings. they actually couldn't make a proper nest even....so im going to let them go at it again next year.

  • hey man, do you have chicks now?

  • @TheArvinian01 all 6 eggs hatched a few months back. i kept two of the babies.

  • @Arjan2535 where are the other 4?

  • @TheArvinian01 gave them to friends. i have a dog and 8 of them in one room was getting to be too much. they fight with each other. the parents usually try to get them to get away and go on their own in nature so they can get back to making more babies...

  • cool, thanks for sharing!

  • what kind of paper is it..?

  • @LittleYovani: any paper will do. that one is a Wendy's paper bag. they also like normal white paper as well. you dont want to give newspaper cause of the ink that could be bad for them.
