  • For anyone confused about the numbers:

Each number corresponds to the degree Jacob must turn his wheel to view candidates in the lighthouse. Each number was the degree of the remaining 6 candidates for his replacement.

The Numbers also represent the factors of the core values of the Valenzetti Equation, which predicts the date of the destruction of mankind. This is also likely why the Numbers appeared to be cursed.

Questions were answered. Look closer. LOST is all philosophy.

  • @kylecol89 4 8 15 16 23 42

  • I feel pretty certain that during season 3 the writers told Matthew Fox that the show would end with Jack redeeming and sacraficing himself and that the last image of the show would be Jack's eye closing.

  • @Rude666 I strongly believe Jack knew this long before season 3.

  • omg he IS jack!

  • Loved the ending. Couldn't have wanted anything more!! Totally epic.

  • WHO WHERE AND HOW did that big ass statue get to that island is what i wanna know i can make my own theories about everything else except for the fucking polar bears and the fucking big ass statue ?

  • @5lupe5fiasco5 The polar bears are explained... twice.

  • @ToBaer True, in season 2-3-4 and 5.

  • @5lupe5fiasco5 The polar bears were explained through season 2, 3, 4 and 5. The Statue was built on the island by egyptian settlers not brought there.

  • It was so unfair. It feels like they didn't feel like finishing the show,

so they just 'did something'. The ending was 'alright', but it definably could have been better. And they didn't even give us all the answers! Like what the hell are we supposed to think with all these crazy numbers that bring bad fortune?

I am only saying I wish it would have ended differently.

  • @MegsXsgeM I hear you completely.. I enjoyed the ending, it gave me some closure (and although LOST is irreplacable, I'm still looking for a show to encaptivate me the way LOST did). But I agree, there were some important questions left unanswered. However, I don't look at that in a negative way. I would very much like to know why those numbers had such signficance on the show. Stll, LOST has by far been the best thing to ever happen to television.

  • Guys, long story short, the gave up on the ending.

  • Best show indeed, but not the best ending most unfortunately.

  • @itsasoulthing In your opinion what would have made the ending better?

  • the ending was absolutely not epic!!!! it was a cop-out!

  • i watched lost for all 6 seasons and im still obsessed with it even though it ended and im actually watching season 1 for the 4th time right now but i have watched the finale epsiode of the 6th season and i still dont understand what happened i think it might have been purgatory but im not sure does anyone know what happened PLEASE tell me!!!!!

  • @kstewluver96

The purgatory-flash-sideways parts have nothing to do with the main story. Watch it again skipping the flash-sideways parts and it will make more sense :)

The flash-sideways purgatory was a seperate story that happens AFTER the main Island story.

  • Ill bet anything you want that Matthew Fox never expected the Lost Ending, despite what he said. He was right about the epic...but I doubt he knew he'd be in a sort of afterlife/limbo/alternate reality/whatever...

  • is'nt the island called mambi or something?

  • i like the part where the "black smoke" got shot and kicked off the edge

how do you make 41,929 videos?

  • And epic it was

  • i wished that Kate would end up with Sawyer in the real world and with Jack in the after-death world. That would've been the perfect ending for me;( i miss skate!!!!

  • @pinkythongT I'm guessin that's probably what happened

  • I loved watching lost, but the last double episode was just science fiction. it ruined 6 years of my life...

  • @mischa1234 what was science fiction about it?

  • @mischa1234 What are you talking about? The entire show is science fiction. How was the ending any different from the rest of the show?

  • Prison break is better than this shit

  • @Yourmum360 hey fuck you i have watched all the episodes of lost and prison break the ending to this is fucking epic and the ending to prison break he dies of a tumor that iss the fucking worst ending ever go fuck your self you weird little prick

  • @Yourmum360 Somehow you're right, but I think Prison Break would've sucked just as bad by its 6th season.

  • @ostifari huh? prison break sucked by the third season lost kept me curious till the end

  • @kingstomman so true !

  • @kingstomman It's funny that you make it clear that popular music like lady gaga isn't on your favorite band list, but you let Newscorp hold you hostage for 6 years. Well done! **Anomaly**

  • @ostifari the fuck are you talking about? i literally did not understand your pathetic comment

  • @kingstomman I think he was talking about something you wrote on your Channel about music.

  • @Microbat97 He said that its funny that i don't like mainstream music but i let newscorp hold me hostage for 6 years? i understood a part of it either way his statement is stupid cause it has nothing to do with my comment and the only thing its telling is his embarresment of his own foolishness.

  • @kingstomman Permit me to explain - There are about 6 major entertainment companies - Newscorp, Disney and Vivendi are 3 of them. By avoiding 'mainstream' music, you avoid being caught in a net of product placement - and for that I commend you. But by turning around and arguing which FOX/ABC/NBC TV show is better, all you've done has been led astray to a different feed lot. It's the same as saying 'I don't eat sausage' then go and eat a hot dog. I don't really expect you to understand.

  • @ostifari First im maltese my english is quite good but not the type to understand this type of words

Second i hate mainstream music for the simple fact that in my opinion i dont like the damn beats singing or anything there are some mainstream music that i like for example calle oche by pitbull

movies and tv series is the only thing in this world that by time passed it got better unlike music so your debate is still ignorant and has nothing to do with music which is a totally different thing

  • @kingstomman Maltese as in the Island Malta? Your English is pretty good in that case. Plus - living on an Island like you do, I can't blame you for liking Lost more than Prison Break or anything for that matter - because it appeals to you. My point was - It's the same people that produce 'mainstream' music that produce 'mainstream' tv, just a different mode. Don't forget to fast-forward thru commercials. Cheers.

  • @ostifari yes the island malta thanks for knowing the place cause usually people never heared of it

you still miss my point i don't like most mainstream music but i do like some of them in that case it doesn't really make it ironic.same applies for TV besides in my opinion i prefer tv's from the 90's even though most people who were there in the 90's preferred today's era of TV than the 90's TV

  • I'm always lost watching lost.....^_^

  • @Shoen

i was like in the island and started dreaming about it too and when i woke up it was like WTF i was on an island hahaha

  • I love this show!It presents the good and bad side of this world where we live.Mathew is great.

  • although last scene was great, last season sucked

  • matthew fox is so freaking hot and he's the best actor on the show.

  • I loved the ending of lost :D had to think for a minute or two, cause first I was like "wtf just happened?" :p but then I figured it out (at least agreed with myself what I think happened) and it was all good! great show! great ending :D

  • @ystein3000 what do you think the ending meant?

  • silly people think they died on the planecrash haha some people need to not think the obvious

  • aw man i wanna watch the rest of season 6 now, i had a whole 2 weeks where every night i watch as much lost as i could and got as far as the episode "what kate does" in season 6, really wanna see why theres confusion, theres even some people in my work who were pissed off about the ending, but as good as they are as people they havent spoiled it for me

  • This comment was deleted by Chuck Norris

  • Do they all die in the plane crash or do they die at diffrent times because they said there was no time in this place

  • @hittinggorilla1 Everything happened. The ones that got off lived and died like normal people. Christian explains it (pretty clearly) in the ending scene.

  • I even looked it up. They do all die. And i know what you mean. I didn't give up too soon though.

  • @sledder2ice so you're saying they were dead the minute the plain crashed on that first episode of season 1?

  • @wayla711MJ829

No. What makes you say that?

The ending was explained in the episode quite clearly. I'm 15, and I understand it just fine, whereas I've talked to 30 year olds who are convinced the Losties died in the crash and that the whole thing was the afterlife.

    Some people... :P

  • @JamieHowitt well I'm 15 too and I didn't get it. it had me totally confused.

  • @wayla711MJ829

Well, what bit got you confused?

  • @JamieHowitt The very last scene where they all meet in that concert hall thing and Jack's dad says they're all dead...that's where I got confused. Everything before that made sense...Oh yeah and I didn't get why they were all having flashbacks of the island if the plane never crashed. How could they remember something that didn't happen? In that alternate reality the plane landed perfectly fine.

  • @wayla711MJ829

It wasn't an alternate reality (like everyone thought until the finale). It was purgatory, like the place you go before heaven. They all died at some point and came together there, because they needed to find each other and settle their differences before they moved on.

    Simples!

  • @JamieHowitt So does that mean they all died at some point on the island?

  • @wayla711MJ829

On the Island, off the Island, in the plane crash, whatever. Everyone dies at some point. But no matter when they died, they all came together in purgatory to reconcile before moving on.

  • @JamieHowitt oh okay..I get it now. Thanks for explaining :)

  • Jack is my favorite character. He dies!!!!! they all die.!!!!! Jack is cute

  • Epic

  • EPIC!

  • Lost was a good show. It was a metaphor for life: Unclear and relative notions of Good and Evil, created by people in a mysterious and humbling universe filled with questions. The difficult lesson of "letting go", forgiveness, etc. We can probably relate to some of these characters in some way. It doesn't matter that questions were left - there are always questions (I though that at times there were too much, but nothing is perfect in this world - And, perhaps, the next ;).

  • @vdizhoor I dont think there were any questions left at all. unless you count something stupid like where miles got the picture of ben.

  • @dude48124 There were loads of questions left unanswered and i don't mean just the little things that weren't important. They well screwed us over!!!

  • @MistaReezo Tell me any question that was left unanswered and ill tell you the answer.

  • @MistaReezo Who instigated the purge? Not your opinion, the actual confirmed answer please. :)

  • @MistaReezo Reply to me next time so i can get back to you sooner. Ben said that Jacob ordered the purge. This makes perfect sense, because Jacob is in charge of protecting the islands electromagnetic pockets to prevent them from destroying the world. Jacobs mother said that men would try to use the near limitless energy to their benefit, just like the DHARMA initiative was doing with the swan and the orchid. Jacob realized they were going to far and ordered them to be taken care of.

  • @MistaReezo Anything else?

  • @vdizhoor I agree with you, except that there are virtually NO unanswered question.

  • io odio lost!

  • OFFTT. Jack aka matthew is so FIT,<3

  • I always thougt, that the real Lock would came back... In conclusion for the PromoPic "The Last Supper".

  • It is remarkable how truly adept all of the major actors, on this show, are at communicating. I find it comforting to watch the ease in which they all seem

relay their thoughts. Whoever cast this show is an absolute genious.

  • all of the actors are brilliant, i hope they get other roles now that it's over.

  • So you knew that the ending will be Jack closing his eye, right Matthew? Yeah, you and 20 million other people.

  • @CronoDyne what r u talking about? no one knew the eye would be the final scene. it was an unimportant miniscule moment from the 1st episode that no one would have remembered. you're just saying that with hindsight.

  • @immeohmyoh well it is pretty predictable, but i can only speak for myself i guess. i would argue that jacks eye opening isnt exactly unimportant and miniscule as LOST is a very "epic" show and it was the first image of the entire series. and i wouldnt be surprised if many of people DID remember that first image.

  • @IloveMalcolmYoung ok well enough, but after rewatching the 1st epidode, i don't see how an eye opening would be any more memorable than a shoe hanging in a tree, or an orange in the mouth, and certainly no one knew jack would be the last man shown

  • love this show

  • seasons 1-4 are the best of any show ever. I didn't like season 5 while they were with dharma. season 6 was okay.

  • Best show ever made, and the best ending.

  • @BatmanTheDarkKnightz Best show, not best ending!

  • @BatmanTheDarkKnightz Amen to that brotha

  • Lost... die beste, die schönste, die kulturreichste, die fabelhafste, die gruseligste, die biblischste, die verrückteste, die liebreichste, die spannendste, die verdammtnochmal beste serie die es auf diesen gottverdammten planeten gibt.

    RIP LOST

And the ending was the soooooooooo beautiful...i cry...

  • uhm.. epic

  • i could carry on filming LOST for another 6 seasons, the amount of unanswered questions still floating about with the elephant in the room!, heres a few questions of what i mean: Why Oceaninc flight 815 crashed on that specific island? Why does Flight 815 matches up in the number sequence 4 [8 15] 16 23 42 ?? The best ever episode of LOST was way back in season 2, the "?" episode, with Locke and Eko discovering the pearl staion below Eko's brothers beach craft plane, that episode was pure!

  • @OceanicAir108

    1. They crashed because of Jacob and the candinates. The island needed them

    2. Coincedence......

Also, there are much bigger questions that need to be answered like how the DHARMA get to the island in the first place? Why did the others want Walt so badly? etc.

  • @salshasam yes i couldnt agree more with your unanswered questions

  • @salshasam well the DI found the island because of the Lamppost Station

  • @gralegath how do you know that? Who built it?

  • @salshasam /watch?v=TSsa2nFHpTc then go to 1:30 that same scene (on the show, not there) Eloise tells the oc6 that it was the DI.

    otherwise go here: lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/The_Lamp_Post

  • @salshasam Do we really need to know how DHARMA got to the island. Plus I think we all know why the others wanted Walt because they need that he was SPECIAL and he had some sort of power. It goes into it a liitle more in the Lost Missing Pieces Webisodes.

  • @OceanicAir108 Do you REALLY NEED those answers? Thats what you need to ask.

  • @vasko28 yes i do NEED those answers, then whats the point of LOST setting those mysteries and questions when there not bothered of answering them

  • @OceanicAir108 You obviously missed the whole point of the show. It wasnt about the mysteries and the twist etc. It was about theses characters and their individual journey's and how they found themselves within each other. Most questions have were answered, I think so people were expecting too much from the finale.

  • @vasko28 you do have a point about people expecting to much from the finale, but seriously......i can hold J.J Abrams at gun point and force him to write another ending for LOST......

  • Well what can i say to a guy who's got the flight number mixed up???

Well, dude, brotha, sob (like Sawyer woulda said...): sucks to be you if you cant't understand on your own!

Now I truly acknowledge that the title LOST serves multi-purposes, for it left you a tad LOST (you're not alone though...there are Others LOST TOO! And they NEED the answers or they're gonna hate the show, the cast, the creators.

Re-watch it, pay attention this time. Train ur mind a lil more before doing so. Peace!

  • @luizyahoo i aint gonna hate the show, if anything all 6 seasons were spectacular and mind bendin from seasons 1-6, i've been with LOST since day 1, September 22 2004, from seasons 1-3 i thought LOST was going to explain like the meaning of life and the Universe etc. etc, but as soon as the hydrogen bomb appears LOST was fading away, but the story that involved the bomb reseting the plane crash etc. was a brilliant idea

  • @OceanicAir108 you gave up too soon. it's so much more than that. truly a great show.

  • epic and big?

take plug out of hole. kill smoke monster(MIB).put plug in hole.

Material world doesnt matter because there is a

    PURGATORY!

  • i hate it when people don't take the time to think about the ending and just say that none of it was real. EVERYTHING ON THE ISLAND WAS REAL!!

  • Pretty epic... Lol hes a nerd.

I wonder if he plays xbox. Lol

  • wow when he said he knows what final image of what lost will be. he knew it wood be him closing his eye. wow fox u knew u slimy devil haha

  • 5 great seasons.wish it ended there...season 6 and especially the finale were horrible.

  • @tonyhalk90 there shouldnt be another season. it was perfect.

  • What people don't understand about Lost is that it has ALWAYS been about the characters. From the very beginning to the very end. We weren't meant to find out the secrets of the island because although there have been so many mysteries that have kept us enthralled it's never been about that, it's about how these people who were strangers at first have grown together and have become so close that they all waited to be together again in the next life. I thought it had an amazing ending :)

  • @Minstrel92 i agree fully, you always wanted to know what was going on on the island, but the first thing you always thought of, was the characters.

  • what??

  • I will miss this show, one of the best shows ever.

  • I can't stand it when people say "LOST was one of the best shows in the history of television!"... ONE of the best shows? Name ONE show that's better!

  • @brianwurzburg I can't think of one, but i think Dexters up there.

  • @brianwurzburg I would say 'The Prisoner'(the original - not the crappy remake) or 'Dark Shadows', but I'm not sure. :)

  • Good actors, good acting, good music, everything is cool. But the story is just stupid and nothing is explained. 1/10 points, almost trash

  • @lokoxxxxx you're just a dumbass

  • @lokoxxxxx why are you on the video than? you're just a troll. fucking stupid cunt

  • @electric947 iclicked next, next and so on, and im on the tv show i watched 6 series to see how it ends, and then this crap? So stfu asshole, i watched it,and i have the right to say its garbage

  • The end of lost is a big piece of SHIT.

  • @JuanPreciadoComala

i unfortunately agree with you...makes no sense all the big adventures....the puch of the bottom ...the others...the flashes...they were dead?? they were in hell and they had to reddim themselves to go the heaven---anyway LOST was fore sure the best show i ever saw..and i will keep it in my hardrive---just cant erase it---another shows i can delete...but lost---i just cant, by the way go to my original music channel( bbuteo ) and make thumbs up my friend--lol cheers juan

  • @JuanPreciadoComala Finally someone with a brain.

  • Check out my interpretation of the ending

    /watch?v=3tAblWelc-0

  • i hated the ending :(

  • I am still laughing at the people who keep saying 'They all died on the planecrash? - what a ripoff!' :p If only they could understand :p I guess some people are more fit to reading Dr. Seuss then Dante Alighieri :p

  • @naughtypagan72 lmao.

  • @naughtypagan72

what makes you think they weren't dead BEFORE the plan crashed.. as in they were dead while on the plane

  • @darrelincanada Because Christian explained it - where they were time had no meaning. The ones that died early on, the ones that died later, and all the ones that led full lives after Jacks death (Sawyer, Hugo, et al) ended up in the sideways flash. Also Christian said that everything that happened, happened. One of the things I'm still confused about is Jacks son - where did he come from?

  • @naughtypagan72

Jack: how are you able to be here Dad?

Christian: How are YOU here Jack.

Christian was dead before arriving on the island

how did Locke live after falling 8 stories ( sufficint height to split you wide open on impact) he wasn't breathing. Claire, Kate and Michael were involved in car crashes before arriving on the island.

Baring that the afterlife isn't quite being alive.. then how could Christian say that everything that happened on the island was real

  • @naughtypagan72

Season 4 Episode 10 (something nice back home)

Jack: hurley why did you stop taking your meds?

Hugo: cuz we are dead jack, we never left that island. he goes on to ask about heaven and happiness.and dead people visiting him.

Sayid has a conversation with kate in one of the early seasons about how they shouldn't have survived the crash. Locke had a similar chat with jack. how can we have survied many of us with just superficial wounds

  • @naughtypagan72

when ana lucia has sayid at gunpoint she says maybe you should kill me and offers the gun to sayid... maybe you were meant to. Sayids response. whar good would it do if we are both already dead ( i know its a figure of speech for being emotionally empty, but it could be literally interpreted as well).

  • @naughtypagan72 at the beginning of the other 48 days.. we see from how high up the plane crashes from.. and what appears to be bodies landing in the water.. from that height smashing into water would be similar to crashing into a 10 foot wall of iron at 200 mph.. you would be a grease spot if that. yet a lot of people came up on shore.

how could they do it? maybe they were able to do that because they were already dead.. just something to ponder

  • just use your imagination.... lost might make more sense

  • Im with ya man! Me too! LOL

I even saw some people saying "so, does that mean that the flashbacks were them trying to find peace???" They had all been dead???" ROFL!

That's the line which is naturally drawn between the wise and the...OTHERS? lol

Sorry for the "inside joke", couldn't resist it!

  • @naughtypagan72

haha yeah dumbasses, how can you be so stupid!?

  • @naughtypagan72 what does the ending mean then? I didn't get it:/

  • well, the end of this serie was not epic and big ...

  • the ending was not epic at all. they pretty much forgot about previous seasons 1-5 and gave weak answers to questions. it was good, but nowhere near "epic."

  • @HitsMan1307 Well, lets start with why aron is a baby again in the church? wasnt he like three years old or something?

Also what the hell happened when they dropped the bomb in the 5th season finale?

They didnt start another timeline, and they didnt die.

  • @spaik007 Check out Jeff Jensen's two articles on the end of the show. He answers a lot of your questions.

  • but the ending wasn't epic.

  • what happen to that black guy and his son?

  • @thouseton they lived. they got off the island. they've moved on in life.

  • @thouseton Michael and his son aren't dead? I think lol

  • i like your theory.

  • just thinking about it, i saw the finale of lost, john was saying to jack in the hospital "see you there" doesnt that mean john died from the surgery?

  • @W1ndir john died on the island

  • @HitsMan1307 nah i mean in the last episode, in the other reality or what ever, the other dimension, jack fixed johns legs in some life-risking surgery stuff, and john said he'd see jack there. i think that means johns dead

  • @W1ndir ok cool, check out my lost vid for answers :)

    /watch?v=3tAblWelc-0

  • @HitsMan1307 no he didnt ben killed him off the island

  • @DetectiveHofman ah yes, i was thinking about the smoke monster in the form of locke

  • @HitsMan1307 no he didn't

Ben killed him when Locke tried to get Jack Kate Sayid Hurley etc back to the island

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @JoaoPinto23 Yep, I've already said that was a mistake. I was thinking about the smoke monster, not the actual John Locke, but thanks for correction.

  • @HitsMan1307 oh

    sorry then

    my bad :)

  • Last 5 minutes ruined the whole series.

  • its really not that hard to follow it's difficult as the writers hadn't formulated a fully coherent storyline from the start and some things are superfluous but when u look at the key elements its simple. I'm just a bit sad that we didn't get to see hurley pick up the pieces or them finding jack, or maybe hurley remaking the mirror(light) house so you can see that everyone got back alright. But thats fine i thought pretty decent ending.

  • The ending was beautiful

  • @ISt0leTheCookies

It was bloody un-expected. Didn't think of anything for days.

  • Now the Lost fans can understand the pain of us Wire fans. Focus on so many details only to watch it fall apart in the worst way at the end.

  • So he really knew that his eye would close? Hm......

  • and im an athiest and thats what i thought it was, could be wrong as there a few things i dont get.but im gonna buy the box set.
