  • Will always remember you KC THANK YOU XXXXXXXXXX

  • Maravilhosa, wonderful....

  • LOVE THIS SONG.

  • And this life is over for you but you still sing this song for all of us.....

  • Unfathomable that such a beautiful treasure in uncountable ways could think she was not! May we reach others to keep them from her tragic, grievous, untimely end; we'll never be able to imagine what incalculable treasures we lost from her priceless soul.

  • I really miss her... her voice and timbre. But no more.. What a waste...

  • No one before or since, can match the truly unique and magical beauty of Karen Carpenter's voice--and no one else ever will.

  • I could listen to this forever, Karen Carpenter is so amazing, thanks x

  • gi

  • Incredibly beautiful!!! Rest in peace, Karen. We miss you.

  • i love you in a place, where there's no space and time

for all my life, you are a friend of mine...

  • Music they play in heaven.

  • There was and isn't now, any female singer quite as emotionally stirring as Karen Carpenter; though back at the time, I felt like their music in general was overly pop'ish... Now, looking back and having seen the endless list of pop chart junk since then, I realize just how talented and magical they really were... RIP Karen, and thanks for the beautiful mem's...

  • Sweet, just beautiful.

  • Karen's songs truly inspired so many people. Then and now. Even Nicholas Cage played her songs in his movie "Ghost Rider". If her voice and singing ability can touch a man's heart then, that's truly a gifted person. If Karen only knew the legacy she's left. The Carpenters music will live on for many years to come.

  • my favorite song from a very special lady in my heart mind and soul,i love you, you are a friend of mine.

  • If a musician like Karen Carpenter can touch your heart with her singing, Then that musician has special talent.

  • @Coahoma sorry dude, but there's NO COMPARISON here. If you think LG has talent you are welcome to your opinion but all I see and hear with her is a slut that tries to push the envelope with her provocative attire, and she doesn't know how to keep her mouth shut about political or social issues. Her political and social views are not what others, and I presume you, are interested in hearing from her. I myself appreciate entertainers who ONLY ENTERTAIN and check their opinions at the door.

  • Someone actually DISLIKED this song??? Must be someone who really appreciates true talent...like Lady Ga Ga.....~rolls eyes~

  • @jamesrobbison you shouldnt diss true talent like lady gaga to make a point...she's a little eccentric sure, but she does have talent...open your mind and listen to her for her voice and not what she does or dresses like~

  • GRACIAS.NO HABIA VISTO MUCHAS FOTOS DE LOS CARPENTERS.

  • Thank you for this. Beautiful!

  • She always had that beautiful radiant smile, so sincere and open, wonderful, it matched her sincere voice....I grew up listening to this sound.

  • ~As yng.-bachelor in HollywoodHills circa late-60's, late to an appointment, I spotted 'girl of my dreams' in front of a VenturaBlvd. Audio-shoppe. Double-parking my Corvette, i strolled over for closer impression! She was testing a Mic.; -i became enthralled by her voice & loveliness, and told her so; -she smiled graciously thanking me, then proceeded with the Mic. -Was later told by shop-owner- "Robair you should have stayed, ms.Carpenter hoped to become acquainted"; --i'm still heartbroken..!

  • @AryanKnight Ouch! Still, at least you met her:)

  • I think perfection is the only way to describe her voice. She left us far too soon.

  • La mejor media voz femenina

  • Beautiful voice, she was a lovely woman, I love this v ideo and the last picture

rocks. Thank you so much for the work that went into this & I pray this beautiful voice is singing with the angels in heaven now.

  • This is one of the Carpenters' best songs. Pure love, and emotion. This song makes my heart go out to Karen.

  • She was beautiful, and would have been even if she was heavier. Im a recovering anorexic this is the truth, im a male 6 ft2 large framed ,and was down to 120 lbs in the hospital near death. Im doing better now 20 years of anorexia and it almost took my life many times. Its so sad for me to see this woman who had died from it. What a beautiful voice, and heart. : (

  • she was so special!!!!

  • I just Love her.To have all that talent

I grew up on this beautiful womens music. How can I say this?Way before her time and also lets just keep worring about our wieght and not worry about the person we are? There are alto singers in heaven.................Kitty

    I

  • physically i see some karen in bradi carlile

  • I saw these guys in the 70s and was probably the best concert I have ever been to in my life. And I have seen alot.

  • Beautiful lady and singer so sadly missed. God bless you Karen.

  • my favourite song 4 my wife

  • God rest her exalted soul

  • I love Karen she has the best voice ever in the world. No one i have heard has ever come close to her. Wish she were still here.X

  • I don't think she had any idea how sexy and beautiful she really was......

  • @lcr1955 Karen was pure, looking back now I don't think Karen ever even thought of the word sexy. She took time to dress well, groom well, & always smell great- she tried to be a perfectionist in everything she did, but she was so damm critical about herself, which gave her low self esteem. She was the most Beautiful & Angelic person I've seen.

  • Thanks for putting this together......nice tribute for her

  • a song for sum1 i loved so much

  • though i was born 20 years after the 70's but i still appreciate the classics more than todays music..

  • Hurts the most when she sings "...and when my life is over..."

  • man you did such a Beautiful job on this. Fabulous. Beautiful Karen. Beautiful Song For You.

  • she was so awesome I really loved her

  • That voice, that personae! As song such as this makes my heart ache! Beautiful !!

  • Simplesmente MARAVILHOOOSA!! Que voz, que sensibilidade!!

  • It's so ironic how the other great rendition of this song was by Donny Hathaway. They both had so much emotion in their voices. Two young stars of the 70s,personal problems, unhappiness,so much talent, damn they just died too soon.

  • yes..awesome sax solo...THE GREATEST FEMALE VOCALIST!!!!!

  • yes..awesome sax solo...THE GREATEST FEMALE VOCALIST!!!!!

  • How can the video, the Voice, and the lyrics not make tears well up in your eyes? Karen's voice is so resonant and sweet...I fall into vivid daydreams when she sings...I feel she was the most beautiful female voice in the last 100 years...just the PRESENCE of that magical voice and delivering those achingly beautiful lyrics in this way...tears!

  • @fairfielder Pick up a copy of the 2 album set I believed simply called "The Carpenters". I think there are about 40 songs on there and it was mixed at A&M Music so the audio is so fine. Plug a quality headset into your stereo, close your eyes and you'll swear Karen is in the room with you. I promise the money is nothing compared to the shear ectasy of hearing her voice so vividly clear.

  • @fairfielder Couldn't put it any better than you did. I love this song so much and her voice so beautiful. Sadly missed, wonderful lady.

  • So many songs can bring tears to my eyes but this one plus the video tops the lot for me. If there's anything to be learned from this at all, I'd have to say it's to never to let anyone crush our sense of self with silly comments about our appearance, especially.

  • one of my favs , lyrics are so haunting and so sad ...

  • "...in a place where there's no space and time...." she's still there for us.

  • Great improvised sax solo.

  • Karen Carpenter had one of the most gifted voices in recorded history. I was never a fan of The Carpenters, due to their selection in music. Sometimes, when I listen to Diana Krall, I think Karen Carpenter would have served such a genre exceedingly well. Karen is a lot like Cass Elliott, a crystal voice simply vanished, having been worthy of so much more than either ever seemed to fully realize.

  • @nahnni That's a really perceptive comment, especially about Karen so easily fitting into the Krall genre. I never thought of that (not into her music) but you are exactly right....that would have been a tremendous melding of musical sounds....its uncanny to even imagine it. Wow. I am blown away by the thought. So much 60's and 70's talent just slipped into the ether, leaving us wondering why we weren't more appreciative, more attentive, more aware of how great the times we were a part of.

  • There are a lot of versions of this song, but The Carpenter's is the best.

  • i miss her.

  • it makes me so sad..what a loss....such a beautiful and pure voice...

  • the one and only karen

  • thank you mate , thank you for puting this song back in my mind , she was a true one off . we will not see her like again

  • nice photos

  • My favorite singer. I cried when she died

  • @jobuan I still remember where I was when I heard that Karen had died. I was 17 years old . No one has even come close to her voice

  • do not die for love

  • its a butifull song..

  • Thanks for posting :) Really wonderful!!!! I love the Carpenters!!!!!

  • Bob Messenger was an amazing saxophone player. Blends perfectly with Karen's beautiful voice.

  • I hope she knew the power her voice had on our souls. This song has always brought tears to my eyes.

  • @photograph49 i dont think she really realized this...people who are special sometimes dont realize it...such a shame...she died when i was a child but i remember my mom playing her songs...i remember the albums...........

  • Great pictures! Beautiful.

  • I love Karen Carpenter, if I could emulate this woman, I would. Beautiful love, 1970 Anaheim Convention Center. Smooth, gorgeous singer who's life was over just way to soon. Enjoy her vocals and Richard's accompaniment.
