BUT, nobody should do shots like this UNLESS you are very good at it and your defender is much taller than you. basically the running shot aims at being able to release fast so as to not get blocked.. fadeaway is easier and more effective though.

a fade away is when you jump sideways or backwards to shoot. a runner is when you jump forwards. so by right this is a fade away. but who cares. this video doesnt really teach you that much.

He isn't falling back from the basket, so it isn't a fall away shot. Rather, he jumps without stopping, allowing his running momentum to carry him forward as he shoots. This makes it a runner.
