Mate I'm 36 & still scared of sharks - Even watching jaws frightens me & I have to sleep with the light on, after watching a shark movie or a shark documentary which sounds silly but I cant overcome this fear - hence i dont swim at all. I had forgotten about that. JAWS gave her a phobia or sharks. I'm not afraid of them but I saw one in the Gulf of Mexico several years ago while I was in the water and it make me think twice about being there at that moment. Then some guy caught one off a fishing pier just down from me later that same day. I didn't go that far into the water again.
