I have this toy actually... The treads on mine were slightly too long though and never fit properly over the wheels, always too loose

@andreyofdoom Yeah, I'm certain I had them right. I'm not saying they were horribly too loose, but loose enough that they didn't catch on the wheels. It's probably a one-time thing with mine, though, not a running production error.

I have alot of transformers, but this guy is the one I can never remember how to get into tank mode.

I love the 2 alt modes on the figure. The robot is disapointing though since it's one of the only S2 figures that isn't show acurate.

Still a awesome figure, may just have to go pull him off the shelf.

@andreyofdoom The crab legs in robot mode are out of place. They should all be on his back/shoulders instead they make for some obtrusive arm kibble.

Still a great figure though.

@daveh013 That bothers me as well actually. I did see a custom where somebody made the legs detach from the arms and peg into the shoulders, and back to the arms for alt mode. When I figure out how to do it I will mod my American version as I'm scared to mess up the Japanese haha

@andreyofdoom Normaly I'd agree about not wanting to hack up a import but I'd actualy mod the Takara version instead of Hasbro's. The Metals version is still pretty easy to find, so that would be the one I hack up.

When Optimus found him on earth and managed to defeat him Megatron brought him to his ship and took a chunk of his spark out and used it for a time to control him before putting it inside his new dinobot. I tried to get the whole story out for you this is one of my favorite characters as well as my favorite episode when he was introduced.

Rampage AKA Destron AKA Protoform X was an attempt to recreate Starscreams indestructible spark in a maximal. It was foolish to even try. When he came online, he attacked several colonies before finally being returned to protoform mode. He was placed on the Axalon to be dumped someplace far away from anywhere he could destroy anything else should he come back online. Depthcharge took it upon himself to chase after him and destroy him. a mission he ultimately sacrificed himself for.

Man, if it wasn't that this version has a great possability of paint loss, I might actually get this but...yes, sometime I'm annoyed by chrome loss overtime, I actually got an Universe repaint Depth Charge just because the chrome chip issue...and it's cheaper^^

Funny you should mention Starscream in this review , i was watching the Protoform X episode very recently and what i dont understand is why the Maximals on Cybertron tried to replicate Starscreams Spark in the first place when he was an evil treacherous basterd .

I have the US version, wow the silver on this guy makes him look more bad-ass his legs look less plain too.

Good figure, overall makes a REALLY nice display peace, but he's such a pain in the ass to get standing right.
