HANA SENESH - true jewish spirit, amazing talent and courage under torture by hungarian nazis. May her memory be blessed forever. Israel is alive today thanks to people like her!!!!!!!!
Plese show me, what does all words of this music mean?
Thank you very much for your kindness. Maybe I think Jew's song, for I cannot find this set pharse in Bible, that is, Tanakh. What a sad and painful song ! I love Netanela. I think the voice of Netanela is similar to Momoe Yamaguchi in Japanese famous singer. But when she is young , she already retire from active life.
as alonz2 wrote, the text (lyrics?) is from Szenes Anna, a hungarian-born women, who, during the war went to palestine, and came back to fight against the nazis in europe (she was captured, inprisoned in Hungary and executed in the last days of the war).
(I don't know Momoe Yamaguchi, but I suppose I will find it here on skype)
this song was written by hannah senesh-who parachuted into nazi occupied hungary was captured by the germans and executed. she was jewish patriot living in pre-israel "palestine" and her poem immortalizes her.

קול מדהים. חבל מאוד שבזמנו היא ירדה מהארץ. אילו הייתה נשארת היא הייתה הופכת לאייקון אגדתי לא פחות מכל זמרת מפורסמת אחרת.

My lord, May these never end.
The sand and the sea
The rustle(?) of the water
lightning of the sky
prayer of the people

My, Lord,
my god,
I pray that these things never end.
The sand and the sea,
the rush of the waters,
the crash of the heavens,
the prayer of the heart.
