that has to be the most scariest situation ever, the abseloute fear and desperation in his voice was almost unbearable to listen to, when he said he had young kids i had a lump in my throat. it must have been tramatic for 911 operaters taking calls that day also.

In the simplest terms--everything we see and experience is similar to a dream, or a motion picture. We can watch death, destruction, and disaster on a cinema screen, and leave the cinema contented that the scenes were not "real" and nobody actually suffered. The same principle applies to human exsistence.

God allows evil to exsist in human life as a prod to each individual to look beyond it, and search for the ultimate truth. God simply wants his children to return to him--so he has constructed an imperfect world for us to dwell in. If peace and joy were he attributes to human exsistence, would we seek any other?

I can assure everyone that all of those in the 2 towers would have been "taken out of the game" before any real suffering occured. God doesnt allow his children to physically go through such extreme trauma and pain. He would have taken care of all of them. He only wants it to "appear" to all of us on-lookers.

I think it hits us because like a movie, you half-expect the guy to get rescued and everything to be all right...then that tower collapses and you realize that it's not a movie and you just heard that man's final words on this earth.
I know I felt some tremendous tension while I was watching this; I can't imagine his children seeing this video someday and experiencing the last moments of their father's life with him. :(

Piersjay, at least Americans do not allow themselves to be used as a doormat; they take action when everyone else is sittng on their lukewarm behinds. It's precisely the reason America doesn't have religious police prowling their streets, waiting to chastise women in the "sin" of driving a car or not wearing a veil.
