I am 12 and later I wanted to do a film like this. Steven Spielberg made this film then later on he lent clips from this film to a producer to show his ability in film. But later on the place where the producer worked went bust and he vanished with Spielberg's clips.
I am 14, his age does not make the difference, when I imagine doing something like that in two years... What I honor is the time when Spielberg made this film, I mean, you can get good camcorders anywhere now, for instance, but back then, it was more of a uniqueness. I'm a big fan of Steven Spielberg
he probally asked his friends and family to donate money or something, also he could get investors to give him money and then they get some of the share. It says on Wikipedia that his budget was $400 for this movie and he made $100.
His father gave him 500 hundred dollars to make it over the course of one year, and rented a theatre out for one night where Spielbergs sisters sold tickets for one dollar. He shot it at weekends with actors he got from a local University. He stayed off school sometimes just to edit the film
I wanna be a film director myself, Spielbergs legacy inspires me more than anything, because I have learnt that basically, all you have to do is make movies and get them seen.
I wish someone would release this with the original soundtrack it looks pretty cool.

Why does the music seem exactly like Close Encounters? I know this was made before Close Encounters.

this isn't a short film, its 140-minutes long. The film had a budget of $500 and profitted $1. According to wikipedia anyways..

If he was 16, how did he get money to do it and publish it?
