@Sodiumreactor i just wont buy new stuff. i currently have a 13 year old GE tv that still works like to day it came home with me from the store. i still listen to records. my truck is a `91. an my car is an 83. i dont play video games. i go to garage sales, flea markets, and swap meets looking for the quality made items. and i all the toys i do own are made of tin an steel, not plastic an lead. all my guns, for hunting and show are more than 10 years old. i just like to get the BEST for my money
What kind of pansy drives a raptor? who wants to race over some sand dunes? sure it would be fun, the first ten times, then f this, I want a truck I can use, and one that will get my where I want to go. RAM
@DodgeMan360 "What kind of pansy drives a power wagon? who wants to slowly crawl over some rocks? sure it would be fun, the first ten times, then f this, I want a truck I can use, and one that will get me where I want to go. Raptor" they are both specialized trucks...if you want to criticize one for being that way do it to both..or just criticize the raptor for being more capable in more off road settings for less money.
@2wheelsbeatsanything *edit:"who wants to slowly crawl over some rocks? sure it would be fun, the first ten times, then f this"..the raptor can do this too though
@2wheelsbeatsanything the raptor is make for the desert and high speed on sand and jumps the power wagon is made for trail rockcrawling (light) and mud also has solid axle both are great trucks and i would love to have one but i eould prefer the PW because in my country there isnt any deserts
@2wheelsbeatsanything Here in the real world pal, theres things called "trails" in these trails one might encounter various obstacles, such as rocks, fallen trees, giant water holes, etc. A Power Wagon is far more capable then a Craptor to get over these objects, with the disconnecting sway bar,Bilsteins and solid front axle for a massive amount of wheel travel. And if you do get stuck there's a winch to haul you out. This is also an HD truck, and will do whatever you want
@DodgeMan360 Just an FYI about my last RAM..I bought a 05 ram brand new from dodge w/ the cummins engine(already had a 5.7 that screwed itself w/ the overflow spraying into the intake, which I had to pay for out of pocket)..great motor but the truck honestly sucked..everything in the cab rattled and I had to get the transfer case and trans replaced(auto). But at least I didn't keep it long enough for the tierods to break so I could crash..
@2wheelsbeatsanything I own a Hemi and love it, with 400 000km on my 91 Dodge 318 I still believe Dodge makes the longest lasting gas trucks as well as diesel. A friend owns an 03' Cummins 2500 Auto 4wd with 570 000km on it currently, and his father is running an 06' Cummins 2500 auto 4wd with 300 000km on it, both original power trains, Its called preventative maintenance, you should try it sometime. As for the tie rod ends, they will replace them for free.
@stealthcorvette The cummins is a very heavy motor. Not a great choice for a mostly off-road truck. But I still think they should give you the option, the cummins is a nice motor
@ sethclark100 The problem with a diesel in this is that in 4 lo locked you would shred the gearing from the torque of the cummins engine. <3 Dodge. :) can't wait to own one of these beasts.
@yetilikesbeer i wouldnt want them to put the cummins or any diesel in it,i heard there goin to but i dont want them to if you ever been mudding in a cummins you know why the cummins is the heavyest motor out of the big three they sink, they pull anything but they suck in the mud
dont get me wrong im a die hard mopar fan but everyone has to stop the fucking bitching dodge, ford and chevy are basically the same thing just different bodys. id buy a dodge for an everyday driver and to have fun rock crawling, ford for towing and off road (raptor) and chevy because when it breaks down you can get parts like nothing.
******video error******* it says it has leaf springs instead of coil springs,, which is it has coil springs instead of leaf springs....look at 1:13 to 1:18 you can see the front and rear suspension
@ChristianJames6759 You can only see the front suspension clearly. If you pause at 0:11 you can see the blur of the rear leaves. 2005 PW and up front coils w/ 4 link and locating bar and rear leafs, has not changed. If you going to stick by your amazing ability to see coils in the back through this blurry video I could shoot a video of mine for yah, but you have to ask nice, she's pur'dy.
i heard nexy year you can choose between a 6.4 hemi 470hp 520 torque and the cummins engine in the power wagon there goin to put a 6.4 v8 back in there trucks they were goin to go with v10's but they went with v8 better gas millage but its still pretty cool this trucks getting better engines and it's finally goin to offer a cummins engine! ford raptor better run and hidebut thats what i heard i aint shure if its true but if it is that awsome
@dodgediesel441 Where did you here that. The only confirmed modification for 2012 is the 6 spd auto. I will guarentee they will never put the diesel in it. 100%. Once you ride in one with the lockers engaged you will understand untill then you can dream.
@ MrCraigmire123- you are so unbelievably retarded. That hemi will smoke your stupid little yota any day. Even with it's precious little super charger. And yes, u can gay a supercharger on a hemi easy. Your just to involved with your own self-incompetence and upsession with Toyota to actually consider it. Go back to school chump.
you know this is nice and all but i would much rather have a 1978-1980 dodge power wagon any day red a pair of shock big enough for 36inch tires but have 33s still nice truck though
Buy a toyota tundra, the rear end has leaf spring for towing, not coil spring like the hemi. Other thing is that toyota is so sure about their product (engine, trans, powetrain, you name it) that for 5 grand extra u can get them to install a super charger on it and they will fully warranty. Tell the guys at dodge that u want to throw a super charger on your brand new hemi. See what they say to you after. Tundra also has a 4.33 gearing for towing which is quite nice. lots of low end power.
@tonythedarkshooter1 wow you dont know shit. obviously didnt read my commment either. my friend has a 2011 toyota 5.7L iforce tundra with the towing package. The thing is a monster. Proven reliable trucks and cars. they are not built like crap.
@tonythedarkshooter1 Then why will they fully warranty a super charger installation. Go ask dodge, ford, GMC that you want to put a super charger on their truck. See what they will tell you.
@tonythedarkshooter1 ya thats where ur wrong i have a 89 toyota pick up n its not built like crap never had a problem with it only thing was the timing chain so chill................
a 2 door short bed will be perfect for us single young guys. Also wider and bigger tires with no chrome and projector lamps, leathe black inteior, push start ignition will be perfect.
@fester831 It's hard not to be racist when it comes to that. But it's true, you look around and it seems like every black person and Mexican wants to slap 20's or dubs on every vehicle they can. And honestly in my opinion if you even consider slapping anything that's not a 35'' AT tire on a 4WD, you don't deserve to be in one since all your truck would be is a street beater.
@esteburrito doesnt have enough room under the hood because of the swaybar disconnect. idk why they couldnt engineer it right. more added a cummins on the last gen PW
@05front They have plenty of Diesel trucks in their lineup. the PW is a V8, always has been. Diesel engines dont do good off road, way too heavy on the front end. Always see them getting bogged down. This truck is designed to go off road extensively, and the Hemi is the perfect choice for it. @chevyguy00z71 They chose that name before you were born. Probably before your parents were born too. Speaking of names, ever heard the term "dont throw rocks, when you live in a glass house" ?
I've been telling Dodge this since 2007... They also need to put a diesel option in the Jeep Wrangler. But Chrysler hasn't listened and therefore, loses business. Fiat should be pushing diesels hopefully with time as they reshape Chrysler.
@sethclark100 I agree. I own a 2007 Dodge Ram Crew 2500 w/ the Hemi 5.7 and will not buy another without the Cummins. I hear there is a new Cummins on the way for Dodge (Possibly 2012) to up the ante against Ford and Chevy's higher towing capacity. They should have never let Ford or Chevy jump ahead to begin with.
@six6wings You know why chevy won this year right. Chevy's trucks weigh an extra 2000pounds so their towing capacity test was easier. More weight=more pulling power. With out the extra weight the tires would have spun. Yeah its stupid. Dodge is great. Don't care what anybody says. my 98 2500 cummins is a beast.
@aningloriusjew this is true, this is true, just such a large truck i think it would benefit from a bit more power than the 5.7, but shit this thing isnt meant to be a raptor so i duno ....
@Trigun075 ya and tremendous amounts of torque, reliability, economy, sorry budy but a diesel option is a no brainer here, no hate on the hemi thats for sure, im mopar for life, but when i said option , thats what i meant, if they want a gasser fine, im just saying that a diesel option would open up the market quite abit for this truck. especially when they already have the cummins engine at their fingertips, just a thought.
@sethclark100 True, but i guess we have our own opinions on this. Don't get me wrong Diesel is awesome especially Cummings Engine. yet i know by first hand it sucks to climb hills with a diesel engine, well i tried with my buddy's durmax and well lets just say it didn't work. But then i went up on my gas and it did it with easy.
@yetilikesbeer i couldve swore they had the cummins in em too. i must of been thinkin of the old body style cause ive seen the powerwagons of that bodystyle with a cummins
@whoewasthatit And if you did, they are custom built and will not be as functional as a factory Power Wagon unless they dumped in a lot of extra money. Here is two quick ways to spot a fake. It must have clearance lights and a floor shifter for the transfer case. Most people wouldn't add cab lights if their original diesel did not come with them, or switch out consoles for a floor shifter. Also to mount the winch in the 05 to 09 you need a custom intercooler and rad.
@whoewasthatit thats badass man, didnot know, wow i want one now to be honest ... i got an 03 HO 6 spd 4x4 and live in montana, and man dodge the way to go brotha ! would be sick to get a six speed diesel power wagon. lets just say that my dream truck...
stupid american prick-heads! you only make cars that fit your own fuel prices.. but you stupid bitches will get a serious wake up call when fuel prices soar like fuck, because you invaded some bullshit oil country AGAIN. Assholes.
@bombardier420 really ,, my dad has the chevy silverado 2500 hd year 2005 ,, it is really a monster ,, and the new one has more horsepower and a better powertrain!!!for me ,, there is no better truck than a chevy truck
@erich1313sch dude, for off road capability, there is no comparison. The power wagon's drive train is second to none, as far as oem equipment is concerned. The power plant is plenty enough, espicially with the gearing it has. That engine is just as proven, and if maintained will last for decades. f you're talking about towing or hauling capability, then you may have a point. Not having owned both, let alone pulled a trailer with both, I can't comment on their abilities in that department.
@bombardier420 yeah i know for off-road the silverado is not so godd like the power wagon , because the silverado is to long and to less high ,, but the chevy is much more powerfull , with the 6.6lduramax engine , the 6speed allison transmission and 397 horsepower
@erich1313sch yeah, with that big ass diesel, the chevy will out pull for sure. It not really apples to apples though. Were comparing chevy's big hauler (of the 2500 line), with dodges super off road package. It has a softer suspension, lift, 33's, 5.7 gasoline engine, etc. Its not a tow monster at all, its an offroad monster that can also tow. I guess for stricly hauling, you'd have to compare that chevy to the dodge 2500 with the cummins, and again, I really don't know how that would go..
@bombardier420 if you dont know it the chevy silverado 2500hd 2011 has been selected like the heavy duty truck of the year , defeating the ram 2500 , ford f350-250 and toyota tundra
@erich1313sch And they are now rough as shit. They need to update the dash. I looks mid 90's compared to the Fords and Dodges. And I hope they fixed the traction control from the 2010's, because I am sick of the computer overriding the override and causing me to get stuck. Personaly I would never have traction control, but free fuel in the company truck, beggers can't be choosers.
@XxXMOOMOOCOWXxX i think he just means built in U.S.A. is supposedly better, but nothing is made here anymore. seriously, how fucked up is it that american flags are made in china?
@gtmsnba13 have you heard about the ramrunner or the new power wagon concept short cab ,if your'e stubborn and like to stay behing , stick with ford !!!
@daylatedollashort To heavy. Even with the hemi, the winch, and the massive winch crossmember (heavy) the PW is hard to turn on soft ground. The cummins would tear it apart. I guarentee that no one would provide warranty for it if there was that heavy beast between the rails. The Hemi is perfect with those gears.
@yetilikesbeer yeah but with how much gas prices are shooting up to these days a gas truck that big just seems foolish. diesel costs more but burns way slower giving such a massive rig a much better MPG. i just think it would be more practical. plus everyone knows that you cant go wrong with cummins.
@daylatedollashort We will have to see how the 2011's do for milage after switching to urea injection. Our 08's with the 6.7 are 3500 w/ 6spd auto @ 14.5 mpg (just breaking in at 32,000 km) and the 5500 6spd manual with 130,000 km is up to about 17.8 mpg aveage and is a lot heavier. The 3500 should do beter eventually. Plus the extra maintance on the diesel.
And right now were I live gas and diesel are very close to the same price. Diesel has actually spiked above gas a few times.
@yetilikesbeer where i live diesel is a steady couple cents higher than premium gas but it still saves money to buy a diesel due to the fact that they almost always make up for it in MPG. plus i feel like a diesel would just plain get more power for the truck. but you seem like you know what your talking about so im gona trust you on this one.
@daylatedollashort Yah were sittin even with regular gas right know. I'm a little biased. I only have a bumper pull camper and a Quad and Dirtbike. The PW has room and I would rather have the mobility of the gas job were I go, the torque doesn't cancel the anchor like weight of the cummins in the front (Extra 500 + lbs in the front for the 6.7, 6spd Auto and extra hardware). Besides if I do need to haul something I can trade my dad for his 08 3500.
@MaddRussian100 might as well go big then, you will have it paid for in no time. slap that enlistment bonus down on it and say, "thank you uncle sam " this SOB is mine! just dont do anything dumb and break a bone or something before you go, they kinda frown down on that.

@390FE390 RAM 1500 can tow 10,450 2500 with cummins can tow 17,900, 3500 with cummins can tow 24,500 lbs........ for f-450 can tow 22,500 f-350 20,500 f-250 16,000 f-150 11,300.
@97gianthockeyplaya97 the raptor is awesome and id buy one if i could afford it, but they are 2 totally different trucks. this would be better for lets say someone who lives in montana, but a raptor would suit someone in so.cal or nevada.
@SPADES6o6 Yeah, honestly i would love to have any F-Series truck, or this Powerwagon or Big Horn Edition Ram or Sierra with the Vortec V8. But i'm just a poor college kid who drives a '99 4cyl turbo honda cr-v lol. its a fun car though

If you slap dubs on any 4wd truck, either your black or Mexican.
fester831 10 months ago
@fester831 It's hard not to be racist when it comes to that. But it's true, you look around and it seems like every black person and Mexican wants to slap 20's or dubs on every vehicle they can. And honestly in my opinion if you even consider slapping anything that's not a 35'' AT tire on a 4WD, you don't deserve to be in one since all your truck would be is a street beater.

Dodge! Why you no put Cummins in Power Wagon?!?!
esteburrito 10 months ago
@esteburrito doesnt have enough room under the hood because of the swaybar disconnect. idk why they couldnt engineer it right. more added a cummins on the last gen PW
05front 10 months ago
@05front They have plenty of Diesel trucks in their lineup. the PW is a V8, always has been. Diesel engines dont do good off road, way too heavy on the front end. Always see them getting bogged down. This truck is designed to go off road extensively, and the Hemi is the perfect choice for it. @chevyguy00z71 They chose that name before you were born. Probably before your parents were born too. Speaking of names, ever heard the term "dont throw rocks, when you live in a glass house" ?
Sodiumreactor 10 months ago
@Sodiumreactor yea very true that weight can be a bitch. yup you gotta love the WW2 original PW
05front 10 months ago
need a diesel option , awesome truck tho...
sethclark100 11 months ago 47
@sethclark100
I've been telling Dodge this since 2007... They also need to put a diesel option in the Jeep Wrangler. But Chrysler hasn't listened and therefore, loses business. Fiat should be pushing diesels hopefully with time as they reshape Chrysler.
six6wings 10 months ago
@sethclark100 I agree. I own a 2007 Dodge Ram Crew 2500 w/ the Hemi 5.7 and will not buy another without the Cummins. I hear there is a new Cummins on the way for Dodge (Possibly 2012) to up the ante against Ford and Chevy's higher towing capacity. They should have never let Ford or Chevy jump ahead to begin with.
six6wings 10 months ago
@six6wings You know why chevy won this year right. Chevy's trucks weigh an extra 2000pounds so their towing capacity test was easier. More weight=more pulling power. With out the extra weight the tires would have spun. Yeah its stupid. Dodge is great. Don't care what anybody says. my 98 2500 cummins is a beast.
lancenewlove 10 months ago
@sethclark100 or at least the new 392 hemi with 470hp and 470 foot pounds of torque
aningloriusjew 10 months ago
@aningloriusjew this is true, this is true, just such a large truck i think it would benefit from a bit more power than the 5.7, but shit this thing isnt meant to be a raptor so i duno ....
sethclark100 9 months ago
@sethclark100 Powerwagon is perfect as it is. Diesel will only add weight
Trigun075 9 months ago
@Trigun075 ya and tremendous amounts of torque, reliability, economy, sorry budy but a diesel option is a no brainer here, no hate on the hemi thats for sure, im mopar for life, but when i said option , thats what i meant, if they want a gasser fine, im just saying that a diesel option would open up the market quite abit for this truck. especially when they already have the cummins engine at their fingertips, just a thought.
sethclark100 9 months ago
@sethclark100 True, but i guess we have our own opinions on this. Don't get me wrong Diesel is awesome especially Cummings Engine. yet i know by first hand it sucks to climb hills with a diesel engine, well i tried with my buddy's durmax and well lets just say it didn't work. But then i went up on my gas and it did it with easy.
Trigun075 9 months ago
@sethclark100 i agree, but they're designed to be used with hemi's....and c'mon, its still a hemi
TotalXzyle 9 months ago
@TotalXzyle it is still a hemi, gota love da hemis :)

@1170xps1170 ahh that would def make sense, great truck, would ent mind having one myself ha, just about 35k outa my budget right now ha
sethclark100 9 months ago
@sethclark100 rads to big on the dies to mount a winch bro. and it overcomes the point because the cummins is waaaaay heavier motor then the hemi!
1995bimetalhead 9 months ago
@sethclark100 they were going to put a diesel in it but the warn winch is right where the radiator would have been
Antoinjackson 8 months ago
@sethclark100 The cummins would add to much weight

@sethclark100 you can get it with a diesel. 6.7 cummins
whoewasthatit 6 months ago
@whoewasthatit Nope. Only comes with Hemi 5.7L.
yetilikesbeer 6 months ago
@yetilikesbeer i couldve swore they had the cummins in em too. i must of been thinkin of the old body style cause ive seen the powerwagons of that bodystyle with a cummins
whoewasthatit 6 months ago
@whoewasthatit And if you did, they are custom built and will not be as functional as a factory Power Wagon unless they dumped in a lot of extra money. Here is two quick ways to spot a fake. It must have clearance lights and a floor shifter for the transfer case. Most people wouldn't add cab lights if their original diesel did not come with them, or switch out consoles for a floor shifter. Also to mount the winch in the 05 to 09 you need a custom intercooler and rad.
yetilikesbeer 6 months ago
@whoewasthatit thats badass man, didnot know, wow i want one now to be honest ... i got an 03 HO 6 spd 4x4 and live in montana, and man dodge the way to go brotha ! would be sick to get a six speed diesel power wagon. lets just say that my dream truck...
sethclark100 3 months ago
@sethclark100 now that would be a truck
MrStryperfan 4 months ago
@sethclark100 couldnt have the diesel option due to the fact that the winch is right where the intercooler would go :/

bombardier420 11 months ago
@bombardier420 really ,, my dad has the chevy silverado 2500 hd year 2005 ,, it is really a monster ,, and the new one has more horsepower and a better powertrain!!!for me ,, there is no better truck than a chevy truck
erich1313sch 11 months ago
@erich1313sch dude, for off road capability, there is no comparison. The power wagon's drive train is second to none, as far as oem equipment is concerned. The power plant is plenty enough, espicially with the gearing it has. That engine is just as proven, and if maintained will last for decades. f you're talking about towing or hauling capability, then you may have a point. Not having owned both, let alone pulled a trailer with both, I can't comment on their abilities in that department.
bombardier420 11 months ago
@bombardier420 yeah i know for off-road the silverado is not so godd like the power wagon , because the silverado is to long and to less high ,, but the chevy is much more powerfull , with the 6.6lduramax engine , the 6speed allison transmission and 397 horsepower
erich1313sch 11 months ago
@erich1313sch yeah, with that big ass diesel, the chevy will out pull for sure. It not really apples to apples though. Were comparing chevy's big hauler (of the 2500 line), with dodges super off road package. It has a softer suspension, lift, 33's, 5.7 gasoline engine, etc. Its not a tow monster at all, its an offroad monster that can also tow. I guess for stricly hauling, you'd have to compare that chevy to the dodge 2500 with the cummins, and again, I really don't know how that would go..
bombardier420 11 months ago
@bombardier420 if you dont know it the chevy silverado 2500hd 2011 has been selected like the heavy duty truck of the year , defeating the ram 2500 , ford f350-250 and toyota tundra
erich1313sch 11 months ago
@erich1313sch And they are now rough as shit. They need to update the dash. I looks mid 90's compared to the Fords and Dodges. And I hope they fixed the traction control from the 2010's, because I am sick of the computer overriding the override and causing me to get stuck. Personaly I would never have traction control, but free fuel in the company truck, beggers can't be choosers.

moparholic1 11 months ago
sooooo why inst there a cummins engine in it??
daylatedollashort 11 months ago
@daylatedollashort To heavy. Even with the hemi, the winch, and the massive winch crossmember (heavy) the PW is hard to turn on soft ground. The cummins would tear it apart. I guarentee that no one would provide warranty for it if there was that heavy beast between the rails. The Hemi is perfect with those gears.
yetilikesbeer 11 months ago
@yetilikesbeer yeah but with how much gas prices are shooting up to these days a gas truck that big just seems foolish. diesel costs more but burns way slower giving such a massive rig a much better MPG. i just think it would be more practical. plus everyone knows that you cant go wrong with cummins.
daylatedollashort 11 months ago
@daylatedollashort We will have to see how the 2011's do for milage after switching to urea injection. Our 08's with the 6.7 are 3500 w/ 6spd auto @ 14.5 mpg (just breaking in at 32,000 km) and the 5500 6spd manual with 130,000 km is up to about 17.8 mpg aveage and is a lot heavier. The 3500 should do beter eventually. Plus the extra maintance on the diesel.
And right now were I live gas and diesel are very close to the same price. Diesel has actually spiked above gas a few times.
yetilikesbeer 11 months ago
@yetilikesbeer where i live diesel is a steady couple cents higher than premium gas but it still saves money to buy a diesel due to the fact that they almost always make up for it in MPG. plus i feel like a diesel would just plain get more power for the truck. but you seem like you know what your talking about so im gona trust you on this one.
daylatedollashort 11 months ago
@daylatedollashort Yah were sittin even with regular gas right know. I'm a little biased. I only have a bumper pull camper and a Quad and Dirtbike. The PW has room and I would rather have the mobility of the gas job were I go, the torque doesn't cancel the anchor like weight of the cummins in the front (Extra 500 + lbs in the front for the 6.7, 6spd Auto and extra hardware). Besides if I do need to haul something I can trade my dad for his 08 3500.
yetilikesbeer 11 months ago
This is a great truck, but why is it on the 2500 chassis? Wouldn't it make more sense to be offered on the 1500?
