on the last fill ur missing the ah of 4 in the 4(snare) e(hi hat) ah(snare) and the fill before the baby i love you your adding extra bass when its just 1(crash) +( snare)2+(toms) 3(rest) e(snare flam) (bass/double stroke) ah (snare)4 + ah crash back into main groove and on the 5th fill where its that big crash (the 16th note snare and tom) theres a ghost note on the ah before the 2nd beat just lettin ya know keep up the good work
The people who dont like D'yer are the people who are afraid of something different. This song and the Crunge are two of my favs form them. I'm looking to get a set soon. Love Bonham's work, can't wait to play along with Zep.
Bonham/Zep almost universally /gotget a bad wrap for this song from critics, but it's actually a very cool song with a great groove with great bass & drum interplay.
If you don't look at it "as an attempt at reggae"(as critics all seem to do), but as just a song as it is, it's terrific!
The other thing about this song that is so great is that you can really hear the drums! So many Zep songs have the drums so buried in the mix that it's hard to tell what Bonham was playing. In this tune, they are right there in your face. Love it!
Haha! You're so right about the critics... Zep always took stuff like this and made it their own. Rock, Blues, Reggae, Folk, Rockabilly, you name it, the boys put their brand on it and made it a "Zeppelin song". Never another like 'em, before, then or since.
Well broken down man!

Dude, D'yer Mak'er is pronounced "Jamaica". Like the country. Nice tutorial though! :D

@Guerrillablackdog I refer to it here as a lot of folks know it as 'Die-Er Maker' and not as Jamaica/Did you make her..
