This is another testimony to the most likely fact that Macedonian was a Hellenic dialect related to the Aiolic group (together with Molossian and Magnesian. I am not writing all of this because I wish to argue about the indisputable mixed character of Epirus. But it's not like Greeks showed up in the region yesterday as some would like to believe or try to prove, that's all.

Hammond proceeds to describe the three main Greek-speaking tribes as the Chaones to the north, the Molossians in the middle, and the Thesproti to the south. The Molossians welcomed Phillip the II as liberator from the deprivations of Illyrian raiders and apparently communicated in similar tongue.

Edafi mens "land", patria is the same word like in romanian( in english motherland) and ta could mean "your" or "you". I'm right or not?
