It's probably trained to say things in order. I doubt that it's responding to what she's saying, instead it knows to make a certain sound after it makes a sound. So: make a siren sounds after making a monkey sound; instead of: make a siren sound when the trainer asks for a siren. I could be wrong, just a thought.
