I just started a silk class :D, the instructor is a professional, but didn't start till she was 24; so 16 is fine. It's a lot of fun, just look around your area for aerial silk classes or aerial art classes.
Absolutely gorgeous. Though every time I see the aerial silk acrobatics I automatically think human spiders that dance on silk. Perhaps I watch too much national geographic lol, but beautiful none the less :)
I wish i could still do this. However, after falling and busting a vertebrae in my back, If i do, I would most likely die :( God, how i took it for granted. Very good performance. I got to live vicariously through the video for a few minutes, thank you :)
This is absolutely gorgeous. It's my dream to be a dancer and I want to either do lyrical and/or acro…this inspires me to want to do acro even more!!! This woman is SO talented.
@PinkBalloonzzz Thank you for your kind words. I'm grateful that you are inspired. Follow your dreams! It takes hard work, training, commitment and perserverance. Best of luck to you!
Wow! Not even my teacher knows as much as you do! As for me... I cant even do some basics yet -_- but thats to be expected from someone who just started a month or two ago right?
@GoldenDasiy It can take a while to gain enough strength to do just the basics. Stay with it and train consistently, at least 2-3 times a week if not more. All my best to you!
Hey! Can you recommend teachers in riverside, Ca area and also Las Vegas, I've been desperately looking for some. I've been dancing for 8 years, and this is just amazing. :D
do you know of any good teachers within an hour of dallas, tx, santa fe, new mexico, or nashville, tennessee? even franklin, kentucky would be fine. haha, lots of options. i found the wise fool circus school in new mexico but i just wanted to know if you had any other suggestions. it could be for anything cirque du soleil related, but this is my favorite. i'm only thirteen but i'm aspiring to be in cirque du soleil.
es muy bonito, yo comencé a hacer telas 2 semanas atrás y es bien difícil, pero lo que se puede ver aquí es muy hermoso, lleno de vida, de sensibilidad. is awesome, it´s so beautiful,
i just started doing aerial silks in my class (we do alot of stuff, from ballet to gynastics) i really enjoy it, and keep begging my step dad to rig one up in our garage
You know I've seen videos of performers do silks before, but it always just seemed they were going through the motions, and performing tricks, yours was beautiful though. Granted I was amazed by what you can do, but the passion and grace you executed the movements with, was awe inspiring! Great work!
im a fourteen year old gymnast (strong and veryy flexible) and a dancer (graceful) and i really admire aerial silks. i have always wanted to do them! but i dont know how to get started. does anyone know how i can find a local program or place to learn and practice at? or how i can get started? please help i have wanted to do this for seven months now
wow that was absolutely beautiful! your so graceful! we were doing a silk workshop in drama class today and our instructor told us to look at some videos on youtube. im glad i found yours. that was amazing!
absolutely beautiful!! i'm taking a silks workshop in two weeks and i'm so glad i saw this! it was inspiring! so many of the silks vids i find are contortionists and my body just doesn't bend that way! you're lines are beautiful, yet attainable... absolutely stunning and graceful. Thank you for sharing!
I have to say one of the more difficult things about aerial dance is making it look like a dance and not like tricks. You did a wonderful job creating a dance and not just a sequence of "tah-dah!" moments.
