the final boss of a game is pretty much the reason you play a game, you want a good ending to a good game you worked hard to beat. but egas been making the same final bosses for all their games.

anyone notice the final bosses of most new sonic games are just massive weird looking things floating in space? its like segas out of ideas.

@Jvazquez50 I agree. Sonic from Heroes to Black Knight did new things and even Sonic Adventure-styled games like 06' and SA2 had other playable characters and gameplay types for variety. Colors onward is just the same game with minor changes like power-ups or an Unleashed split with two recycled gameplay types. Hopefully, SEGA will make something new for Sonic soon. Mario has been the same game for 30 years. I wonder how in Hades' name it got to be so popular. It doesn't ever innovate.

Something like, Luigi saving Daisy (or vice versa), or even have Donkey Kong as the enemy in a 3d Mario game, (not those minis). The Sonic games actually have very unique stories with each game. I mean come on, who can deny Sonic fighting against an aquatic God wasn't badass when we were younger?

On the topic of Chaos and Super Sonic, I heard that the trophy description for Super Sonic in Super Smash Bros Brawl mispelled "the mighty gold Super Sonic" as the "mighty god Super Sonic". Considering Super Sonic could kill multiple Gods and God-like mutants, why not just call him a God? I can agree on the DK idea for Mario. Sonic has always been more edgy and badass.

Afterall, I've seen nothing of it that looks like it was rushed. people will hate but you know they're gonna shut up when they play it. My only concern is that it seems to lack a variety of levels. You know what I mean right? So far the levels are either forest/ beach or city locations. The only other stages with the variety feel appear to be boss stages (ie the Ark or Stardust Speedway). I hope I'm wrong.

Correction: Sonic is A God, not THE God (No, I'm not a fundamentalist, but I'm pretty sure Sonic didn't create his universe). My concern with Generations lies with the gameplay. It's just running fast with some platforming in the classic stages. Heroes, Shadow, Unleashed and Black Knight all had new ideas (gimmicks) to add variety. Even SA1-2 had different characters and play styles with the characters. It looks too repetitive. You're right on the stages too. My Hopes lay on the boss battles.

@vgman94 My mistake, I forgot about the Legend of Zelda series. In Generations, I don't see too much repetetive things going on and there ARE gimmicks like wisps and skateboards ect. As long as I can have fun playing the game then the rest doesn't matter. I'll just thoroughly enjoy myself taking a trip back in time to my favorite moments of Sonic's past and once again be reminded as to why he's the best at what he does. I also want the 3ds version. That looks incredibly awesome.

One of the most epic Sonic Final Boss fights ever :D I love this boss I remember getting to the final part of this game and then eventually fighting this boss o_o It was so Spine-chilling and intense plus The Music, The Mood & Setting just everything included in this Boss was so cool It's just as awesome as FH and Dark Gaia, Bleakness and despair forms and later turns into Hope I just loved playing this boss It had that Epic feeling to it :D The game was okay it offered a lot of good things...

1. Really sensitive movement (especially playing as Sonic) can throw you off the path and into a wall.

3. Poorly made puzzles (Ball puzzle anyone?)

4. Whoever picks Silver in 2p mode is always the winner.

5. The game wasn't even finished yet.

1. Time and practice can make you used to the sensitive movement.

2. Glitches never really bugged me or were ever a real problem for me

3. So yeah some of the puzzles are lackluster, but Sonic wasn't made as puzzler.

4. Then don't play multiplayer, again, Sonic wasn't made to be a mainly multi-player game.

5. Halo 2 wasn't finished completely either, yet that is the best selling original Xbox game.

2. Don't tell me you haven't phased through some terrain by complete accident. It always happens (Especially on loops).

3. If it wasn't made a puzzler then they should have thrown out puzzles in the first place.

4. There's no excuse for bad multiplayer in Sonic 06. Sonic Adventure 2 had great multiplayer.

5. Atleast Halo 2 was playable. Sonic 06 gets frustrating once you get to the speed section of Crisis city.
