this pedal is great...affordable price but high quality... i made a comparison video between biyang od-8 and maxon od-820 ....check this out my video
@krigervasena There are two differences: a) Biyang uses better parts (Wima caps and metal film resistors) b) the Ibanez doesn't have true bypass, the two extra transistors that are usd for switching are in the signal chain.
This video is amazing. The x-drive sounds sooo similar this is ridiculous. I know what my next purchase with be. I just bought the biyang metal end and i'm loving it, I want to find what it was modelled after.
@roysyboy I own it as well, the metal end is just a beast!!! To me, it makes every amp i've encountered sound mesa boogie-ish... and that's what i love the most! I'm seriously considering buying this one! Cheers!
Biyang-X sounds shit-better than the Ibanez one! With this slight plus of warm butter (and, this surprisingly combined with clarity!). Or maybe i'm dreaming..
Well, i've never heard any of those pedals "live". Actually I was interested in ibanez and started looking for some reviews and the I found Biyang pedal, which - when looking at your review - wins, because of the price and sound is cleaner. Why do that Ibanez have so much hiss here? Does it work that way?
@aLinuxTV i agree, ive never liked the tube screamer i always thought it was the most over rated pedal in history but i guess thats the life story of ibanez lol
@kdc300z The Biyang is my favorite now even with all the other pedals I am lucky enough to own or demo from friends. Biyang is the most versatile, but I doubt it will last as long as some of the classics. That said I had no problems with it so far.

The Biyang is cleaner sounding and the decay sounds a little different. I'd probably stick with the Ibanez.

Your ts9 has much hiss what have you don with it an it hasn't got drive even at 3 o clock. Biyang sounds good.

appreciate the shoot outs of pedals. Do you settle on using different ones for different applications or gigs? Or have you narrowed it down?
