  • Does anyone else remember an N64 game called Iggy's wrecking balls? Lol

  • Has Rick given any indication of which party he voted for in this election?

  • @Insanekid95 I don't believe so, but given Jack Layton was his MP and he appeared to like him I'd put money on it he voted for the NDP.

  • This may be the first time I actually thought Rick Mercer was on the money....just goes to show ya...there is a first for everything

  • Am I the only one who hears Iggy and thinks Hetalia? Probably :P

  • @TheBleachGirl10 Don't worry, me too. But it's kind of funny that way. 8D

  • We know what Ignatieff is...another Mcguinty... two faced Liers. IGGI's an American running for a Canadian political post ! with absolutely no interest for Canadians but his own. As for the BLOC ! Canadians must wake the HELL UP ! ! ! & lock these guys away for treason ! Canada is a "beautiful" place, but beauty is only skin deep. Like most, I'm sick & disgusted of seeing too many politicians on a daily basis !, steeling our money & getting away with it ! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE ! ! ! !

  • @vid009 Comparing Iggy to McGuinty is an insult to Iggy...sure he's running the Liberal party further downhill then ever, but to be as bad as McGunity you seriously need to put in some effort at sucking. IMO The Liberals need new leaders both federally and provincially in Ontario, because Tim Hudak isn't any better as an alternative unfortunately.

  • @Shanker420 And now?

I agree with you that McGuinty broke things by DOING the wrong things, whereas Iggy just simply DIDN'T really do ANYTHING, but when you're driving a car, that can be just as bad...

  • @vid009 omg so true i was soo torn this election i didnt even vote i fucking hate harper and ignatief doesnt give a shit about canada and the bloc arent ever gonna be a threat are they

  • all Liberals need to send a dollar to Ottawa.....then actually elect a leader.....Democracy in action.....

Given the choices.....The Queen, Harper, May, duceppe. Layton and Iggy need to get drunk together and let layton run things.

  • @00Billy I don't think many Canadians (as demonstrated by voting) want "Talaban" Jack in charge of anything.

    Just an observation....

  • @mikefastener

same as iggy except the NDP actually elected him. Until the left wakes up and decides to get rid of the CPC... or..we finally outlaw a federal separatist party

  • informed canadian voters are out there we just lack a strong candadate

  • Since when did all these texans move to Canada like seriously like stfu, the reason hes so sercretive is because hes atheist, there its out, now you religious people can have something to rant about and we he can at least have intelligence on his side. I dont know where you peopel live but if any of you live in N.S GTFO I dont want any conservatives in my home province. You disgust me :) no but really read a science book or research your own facts instead of using comdey central for voting info.

  • @EnchancedHuman who is

  • Ig is not going to become Prime Minister. He's not forcing an election any time soon, and when he does Harper, Layton, Duceppe and May will wipe the floor with him

  • how the hell can a dude from the States be Prime minister of Canada!? wtf is this pathetic country coming to ?

  • @chronsmoke he was born here retard. he moved there to teach.

  • @chronsmoke

Well he was born Canadian but went to live to America. Basically he does have some right to be Prime Minister, but the reason to do so is very narrow at best.

  • @ MuroKhan .. thanks for clearing that up intelligently , had no idea he was originally from here . the news doesn't alway's provide all the info , but he still shouldn't be running imo .

@ apoctalyptoV .. thx for proving yet again that there are still mass amounts of cocksmokers on you tube ;)

  • Wow, you are either really stupid for a Canadian or just an average thinking American.

  • claiming intelligence superiority seems to be common amonst canadians. its quite a shame really, a people who are so influenced by another country that general stereotypes are the only way they can differentiate themselves from their much more powerful, influential neighbor.

  • Je ne suis pas canadien. En fait, je suis américain mais j'habite à Québec.

  • my point was further made about the stupidity of the average American by your post.

  • lol, the truth hurts man. its ok. keep using youtube so that American corporations can keep making money off of your wasted time.

  • Read the French.

  • lol, i know english, hindi, and spanish. i never liked the french language, its too slimy and nasaly. language of love? lol, more like language of pussies.

  • @svd205

    dude

i also know english, hindi, spanish...and french...and french is DEFINATELY not a nasty language. i hate french people, but the language is beautiful.

  • jerome iginla never ran for parliament.

  • Isn't Rick Mercer gay?

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

  • @justofffish yes

  • LOL....

  • just another liberal wanting to perpetuate the nanny state to its natural conclusion... oblivion. much to my disappointment were deficit spending now, but iffy isnt satisfied with 50 billion. makes you wonder what a coalition price tag would have looked like. as for hos so called credentials, what do bob rae, michael ignatieff, david miller, and barack obama have in common? answer, they are all graduates of harvard. just what kind of looney left political studies are they teaching at that school

  • Its funny cause many Canadian will vote for him without knowing anything about him. There is so many people that vote for the same party election after election without knowing what their stand is on the issues.

  • @MedicPCP apparently not....

  • "eventualy you will have to tell us why"

We all know "Why"...So he can do the bidding of his "Bankster" masters.....but knowing that Canadians vote like they are betting on a horse race, they could care less. The logic goes something like this.Well if I vote for such and such I will be wasteing my vote cause everyone says he will lose.

We are a simple minded folk when it comes to politics, so don't confuse us with the issues. We will get the government we deserve and nothing more......."tWIST"

  • Banks vs Oil. lol.

Harper's been good to the Banks though...

How old do you have to be to run for PM?

Maybe next election I'll run a demi-spoof campaign and pitch a load of common sense on everyone. Sure its the people that bring success to a team, but bad leadership can really put a damper on things (When comes to government, to fail massively you almost have to try)

  • Iggy and the Liberal Party will once agian fix Canada,After theTorries have put Canada on the road to the poor house.

  • No No!

Iggy will destroy Canada and introduce the new national I.D. card and supported the New World idea of Obama! He is a scumbag liberal who should be in the tras with those other scumbags!

  • Wonder how long Iggy will remain in Canada if/when he doesn't get elected? Any bets?

If Iggy doesn't even respect or love Canada enough to choose to live here, why would he want to politically run & control this country? Why is he so afraid to speak out & tell Canada what he really stands for? What is he so afraid of? Could it be that he doesn't really know enough about Canada to be able to just speak from the heart? Is he too busy taking his "I am Canadian" crash course & memorizing scripts?

  • Michael Ignoramus: Juuuuuuuuuuust visiting.

  • Iggy is neither left or right his policies seem fascistic... pro pre-emptive war, pro torture, pro iraq war, pro indefinant detainment, and a whole slew of other very scary policies that make Bush look like a Hippy.

  • Ig-na-theif is a tory hack. Probably installed by the Liberal-internal-sabotage-commitee headed by globalist nutjobs that are behind harper's conservatives. Makes sense, since Igster has pretty much neutered whichever liberal principles and members of the Liberal caucus that had a testicle (or ovary) left.

  • haa good rant

  • well said, bravo ! Iggy all smoke & mirrors. Another liberal elitist with with entitlement issues...

  • Comment removed

  • BURN!!!

  • Don't call it America, as America should be North and South America. It shouldn't be the United States, because they aren't united at all, children have a lot of trouble getting along with each other when they use their daddy's gun to drive their parents out of the house. And a state is another word for a country, so they don't get othat part either, so let's call that country "down below." It's an overflowing outdoor crapper, a hole with lots little brainless shits overpopulating it.

  • I didn't really understand what you said, but I apoligise for insulting the United States. I am only rude in retaliation. I do somewhat regret my insult because good people will be offended, but I'm not going to take it down. So, once again, I apoligise for any offense I may have caused.

  • Don't worry about that as the new NAU will be implemented by this pro-fascist, pro-NWO LIBERAL PIG!!!

  • Yes, and replace him with yet another crappy CBC drama. If Rick Mercer left CBC, there wouldn't BE a CBC. Most people only watch CBC for hockey, and the Mercer Report comes in second. I don't need to look up their viewership figures to know that he's the best they have other than hockey, which I think they're losing to CTV.

  • Yeah!!! You tell him, Rick! Frankly I am sick to the gills over the current state of Canadian politics. The disconnect with the regular people & the apathy of these parties & their leaders is growing exponentially, and Michael Ignatieff is a prime example. There's plenty of blame to lay at the feet of the Lib party hoo-hahs too...after all, they're enabling him. A no-policy policy convention? We can only run the nation without drivers at the wheel for so long before we crash, folks. Thanks Rick!

  • I have no idea why someone gave a thumbs down to my above comment (apparently someone in favour of leaders who don't lead, or no-policy 'policy conventions'??) ... but I just wanted to make something clear: I'm a social progressive.

If the opposition parties don't get their act together, then horrible Harper & the Conservative Party will continue to have free reign to ruin the environment, make plenty of bad decisions, and yet keep winning elections. That's not something that I want for us.

  • Rick Mercer is our version of Jon Stewart. Finally someone is holding politicians to account where the mainstream media is AWOL. I think iggy should explain to me again really slowly why some forms of torture are ok.

He should say why the death of children and women in a war zone did not cause him to lose any sleep. I guess his ime in the US really rubbed off on him

  • Ok, Rick Mercer is WAY better than Stewart. Jon Stewart fails EPICALLY amuse me. I have spent whole days at home with nothing to do and I STILL couldn't choke down his crappy show, and SAME WITH COLBERT. Seriously, why are you people so obsessed with american crap? If your watching american television, you're watching too much T.V. and need to get a life. GO OUTSIDE AND QUIT WASTING GREENHOUSE GAS PRODUCING ELECTRICITY. I think of ALL electricity as a treat, and Stewart/Colbert is not a treat.

  • This is why Rick Mercer is so great...although we know he is a liberal he doesn't just take the liberal point of view. He rants about ANYONE if he has a problem with what they are doing, no matter where they are on the political spectrum. It is a good thing that he is criticizing Ignatieff, it just shows that he is showing more of an objectif view..(at least more than fox news...)

  • iggi is playing the same game that Obama played in USA. Those close to him know that he has extreme even radical views just like Obama. But Iggi knows that if he never speaks about them and has his handlers portary some smart guy to the Canadian Plebs ( thats us !) he has a fair chance of getting to power. Canadians never vote for anyone, we vote against those we hate. Iggi hopes to win the votes of all who hate Harper. If he succeeds we shall have a devil just as Obama is turning out to be.

  • Obama is a radical? This is too funny. To me he seems very moderate.

  • Well, I stopped caring about their politics once the Coaliiton crap started (which, for the sake of sanity, never happened and we were never made the laughing stock of the world), but he seems to be bailing everything out. he's even giving money to people to pay off their mortgages, which treats people who were good with their money the same as everyone else. I was part of the Obama is the saviour of everything squad during the election, but I think shouldn't have jumped on board so quickly.

  • Obama as a saviour? You got to be kidding. He may be better than Bush, but I never expected much more from him, considering the way the Democrats have acted the last couple of decades. He is too moderate. As for the coalition thing, like it or love it, that is the way parliamentary democracy works. The only way Harper could stop that is to have a majority and I don't think I want him to have it.

  • I know Obama isn't a holy saviour, but a lot of people jumped on the Hope-mobile. It seemed so obvious that he was the best choice back then. I do not think like I did before. As for Harper and a majority, I want to see what he would do with a majority government. I highly doubt he would radically change Canada. Canada was founded as a Liberal Conservative country, but we've been mainly Liberal in the last little while. We have to much pointless left-wing ideologies, like a leech clinging on us.

  • The problem is that right wing ideology has been worse. It is right wing thinking that has led to the global problems we have now. It is our countries refusal to follow along with this global trend that allowed our banks to still be solid. It isn't like I care much for the Liberals or their ideas, but I find that conservative ideas of trusting the market have failed us to the extreme. Trusting a CEO with the market is like trusting a bank robber in an unguarded bank, stupid.

  • OK, THAT'S U.S. CONSERVATIVES. Stephen Harper is a conservative, not a twat. Do you really think that he would make us more conservative when we're the world economic model? This crisis was caused by no regulation in the U.S. and Europe, there's a difference between U.S. conservatives and Canadian conservatives. A BIG DIFFERENCE. I live in Calgary, and no one tries to trip people with a different skin pigment than them, or hassel people for not believing in god, or generally be just retarded.

  • ... To answer: "Do you really think that he would make us more conservative when we're the world economic model?", yes. That's precisely their party platform. When hints of the coming depression (not recession) were evident he seemed pretty confident that government intervention was not necessary but he's seem to have flopped positions on that one (only after, of course, the MAJORITY of House of Common representatives threatened a coalition govern).

  • And I am aware that capitalism is a ridiculous and hugely flawed system, no need to call me stupid.

  • By the way, the only reason he's had to introduce (what I consider a fairly niggardly) budget was because the first time he unveiled the budget it was so inadequate that nearly every party was willing to resolve their differences to bring that plan down (which is an act ingrained in our parliamentary system). If Harper truly had a majority government, he would have unveiled his original budget plan which, without a doubt, would have dramatically deepened the wounds of this coming depression.

  • I'm pretty sure it would have made the pain now, instead of later.

  • Wasnt Hitler also pulled out of the asshole of nowhere and advertised as the demagogue for a new Nazi era? I'm just saying.....

  • you know.......your scaring me with how right you are

  • Alright, I need to apoligise for being rude by saying "We have to much pointless left-wing ideologies, like a leech clinging on us." and not actually backing it up. It probably offended people who consider themselves on the left. What I mean is this anti-war thing. We're in Afghanistan, trying to make thing better for the people in another country as we always have, and I keep hearing that we're just copying the U.S. and we should leave now. 90% of Afghan's want foreign troops their.

  • So? Do we not have enough domestic problems, that our government feels the need to go solve the domestic problems of other people's countries? It's not our fight and not our business to police the world.

Christ, it isn't like being there is getting anything done. What it IS doing is giving some Canadians the ability to put little yellow tags on their cars, as a way of making us feel important, as well as wasting good Canadian lives and tax dollars. Fuck it. It was a stupid idea to start.

  • lol same here XD

  • Yeah, I second that. Obama is hardly a radical, unless you are only counting him within the context of America's values. The above commenter, as a Canadian, should know better.

  • We need a red book or a white paper or even a yellow sticky note would help.

  • Please Rick, let the next rant be about Fox and Red Eye. Can you really let this go by since you are the one true voice of Canada left in the media.

  • Im just waiting for one good reason to vote for ignatieff and im in. harpers goose is cooked.

  • what a disappointment... i thought he was going to talk about how great JAROME IGINLA is...

    there is only ONE IGGY!!

  • lol ^ best comment on this video so far

  • Finally a good job by Mr. Mercer!!!

  • We Liberals were denied a leadership race and we ended up with another bad leader. Iggy is not a Liberal, he's arrogant and another Harper clone. People have already concluded that they might as well stay with Harper, the devil they know.

  • Liberals are upset with Iggy. Mercer is and always has been a Liberal. I heard another popular liberal radio host saying that Iggy was the only politician he ever interviewed that showed no concern for anyone around him. Iggy is all about Iggy all the time. This radio host called him arrogant and said he was 'concerned about him as lib. leader'.

  • Finally, an anti-Liberal, not just anti-Conservative.

  • I don't think this is anti-Liberal or that Mercer is particularly anti-Conservative. He's just pointing out the obvious most of the time. The media has so far been kind to Ignatief in letting him get away with not offering clear policies or vision. Right now, I honestly don't know what the LIberals stand for. I'm willing to give Ignatief some time to develop a vision. This rant is funny because its true. No matter who the target its, Mercer usually does a good honest job of it.

  • The Liberals stand for the same thing they have always stood for..Power -Power and more power!--no matter who they step on--

  • "its true u gotta see both sides"

Unless one side is primarily on Fox News. Then you can hear the entire argument of anyone who appears on and rebut it no matter what they say without even tuning in! /sarcasm

  • Fox News is biased, but it's not the only biased news station. Just look at CBC News.

  • CBC subtely slides in Liberal-ish things into their reporting. I've seen Fox News, and CBS, they aren't subtle AT ALL. They aren't professional in the least, it's like a show where they give some kids a bunch of money to be angry in a calm way.

  • @12v45g

Though CBC does it as a government-funded organization, so your tax dollars are paying for it, regardless of whether you watch or not.
