@Simplafyed118 Except they both have completely different chord progressions, backing guitar, and silverstein's is longer and includes a third guitar. the only thing in common is that they both hit the chord fast twice before holding it, that's in way more than just these two songs... silverstein doesn't copy.

@GUNITsoldieification that's because escape the fate lost ronnie (and lost me as a fan). if you listen to greeley estates, you might remember when they went from Believe the Lies to Go West Young Man - quite the turnaround. you make a point with Arrivals and Departures, but what did you think of Shipwreck in the Sand? i'm just sayin that bands like to try new things, they might not stick with for the rest of their career

Look at Emery's new record it is heavy until the last 2 songs and if you hear those songs first you would be like ahh crap they are going soft but in reality they didn't.

@ teethofghosts, did you not listen to shipwreck? Deepest lyrics of any album I've ever heard. Not as good per song as say ADTR but they comment on so much. Granted the lyrics to say when broken is easily fixed were bad but the lyrics in shipwreck were still amazing and they are good on the EP too!

Silverstein is my favorite band because they effectively merge the more hardcore stuff (screaming etc.) with actual lyrical, melodious elements. It's nice to hear a lead singer who can scream but also actually SING (not just have a nasally whine like all the other hardcore bands out there). Shane's singing has matured so much since Silverstein's early days.
