All I can say is pick a school, any school... that was a very strange line into the corner, at very modest speeds, and a very bad pass. Don't they enforce passing discipline for beginners in European track days? Practice may get you there, but a school will get you there quicker and with a lot less pain.
Hope that collarbone healed well and you are still riding.
I am temted to ride a bike, but these accidents keeps me in my car. The circuit is nice, I like it. But to me, comming from Fyn in Denmark, the price driving there is the same as Nürburgring, so I prefer that now.
that sucks, i am thinking about going to an open track day. also, the tank mount camera, how are they set up and how much are they? i want to get one.
You know, it's kind of a sick thought, but sometimes I'd rather hurt myself than break the bike, because the bike's expensive! But only little injuries, that leave you gimping a bit.
o yeh, the options are buy on ebay or wait for a local broker to get ur bike, both of whcih tske time. the alt is to buy from factory, but the prices are sooo rediculus. like £50 for a foorpeg style
KM tried to undertake another driver where there was no space, therefore he had to brake and crashed. Why do I know this? I was right behind KM and had to brake as well to avoid running KM or his bike over and therefore I crashed. No one was hit by another driver, no one stopped to help (we've got marshalls for that) the guy who helps KM away from the track is me after the race has been stopped. You can see me passing KM 4.55 min into the film (yellow helmet) and KM passing me at 5.25.
Ehhe ... I was right there. I was hit by the dude on the yellow gixxer. It was a pretty violent collision. And yes I braked just about two 10ths of a second before the inevitable collision trying to avoid.
Also, if I had made a simple braking error and lost the front, I would'nt have been thrown head first into the tarmac to the right of my bike breaking my collardbone.
what caused the crash......loose rear?

I've not been riding street bike in 20 years, so 4/9 2008 @knutstorp was thrilling to me.
1:23 at my best, had an excellent instructor Thomas Nedergaard from Lej-en-racer (dot) dk Initial lap times around 1:40

plus if ur hurt then all u do is curl up in a ball and cry, if ur fine and the bike wrecked, u gta deal with it!!! which is very stressful

Especially when you need parts. Waiting for parts sucks!

Hard to say. If it was a race it would probably have been called a race incident. But I learned a lesson. Patience!
